Saul of Tarsus....
Of course, like Saul, I had my Damascus road experience, and I have always felt that in some way Paul is the man I most identify with. He is my mentor, and I especially love the doctrine he teaches from his letter to the church in Rome!
What I like is his ability to speak to the problem, in a way that convicts and teaches and gently leads one to a deeper understanding of God and into a closer relationship with Jesus!
Paul did it all. Seen it all. And in my mind, said it all! I tell people that he is my Bible mentor!
Great question. I hope you get tons of interesting answers! -
Just as we see ourselves in the depictions of biblical characters, we also see ourselves in the depictions of sinful behaviors, i.e. pride, boastfulness, uncontrolled tongue, lying in wait, seeking to find fault, any fault to take someone else down a peg.
