I'm sure some of you will find this interesting.
Until recently I'd been unaware of the life of this man but was confronted by a person who held him in high regard.
As a non-charismatic I find my self quite skeptical (an understatement) about his claims regarding healing and raising people from the dead yet I would like to know more about his life, beliefs, etc.
I post this topic because his name generates a great number of hits in a search engine, yet one stuggles to find a thorough overview of his life, documentation of his "miracles", or a discussion of his theology.
Therefore I turn to the message boards, hoping that some can point me in the right direction for information on the man.

What I mean is, you're posting on a board that has members who regularly bash Scofield, Larkin, Jack Hyles, John R. Rice, and other men of God who devoted their lives to study of God's Word and ministry.
Doubt if someone who has REAL faith that God is able to heal and raise from the dead will get much applause around here.
It must be the video games they were raised on....
Today there a quite a few books out on Wigglesworth, the British plumber turned evangelist. The most popular one is "Apostle of Faith."
He was uneducated and never read any book except the bible. He never wrote anything, but had many of his sermons recorded and published.
He was very popular with the Assemblies of God and even complimented by the late great Donald Gee(Gee was like the Jack Hayford of the UK in his day). At the same time, Gee and others criticised Wigglesworth for his harsh methods in praying for the sick.
While I believe that Smith Wigglesworth was a powerful man of God, I also believe that writers have exaggerated some of his experiences.
Let's face it. Telling about "the Big Fish" is always a temptation.
