Things that make you go "hmmmmmm"

Sad if it's true, though :tear:

It is odd that DIDW is the only person who couldn't find anything wrong or judgemental about SFIC's posts...

Ok, I'm done with this thread. I really don't like the smell of what Joe is hinting at.

No, I am not a modalist. I already showed what a modalist is, and I ain't one.

Joe, While I do admit to know sfiC and Linda, I am not sfiC. I was a member of sfiC's congregation when he pastored the Church I attend in Greensboro. How do you get our signatures are similar? because we both are against alcohol? That means nothing. I can take you to a Church in Montana that the pastor is against alcohol and preaches vehemently against it. Does not mean I am he.

That was my very first thought when DIDW shows up after their ban, and hadn't posted in months.

BTW, Show me where my posts were hateful DIDW.

I guess they got in touch with you so you could defend them here?

Modalism does not deny the deity of Christ. It does create another issue just as large. It denies the Trinity. Some of those who hold to this are "Oneness Pentalcostals" T.D. Jakes is one and denies the trinity. In essence it says that God acts in different forms at different times rather than having three distinct personalities.

No, as a matter of fact, I called their home after I saw they were banned.

Thank you, RevMitchell. As I stated before and others seem to brush it aside just as they did many of the truths sfiC and LindaR posted, I hold to the doctrine of the trinity. I am not, nor will I ever be, a modalist.

It does when you hold to the fact that "thou shalt have no gods besides Me" doesn't apply to Christ.

Personally I found less wrong with SCIC;'s posts than those who consistently seemed to bait him. MO

And now that sfiC is not here to bait, they are trying to bait me. Why use such underhanded tactics?

    SAY WHAT??

"Lucy!! You got some serious 'splainin' to do!!"

[Edited to add, after reading some more posts!] The omission of a question mark gives the above quote an entirely different meaning, from a sentence that does end wihth a question mark. The "smilie" does not suffice to show which you mean, IMO.

Curious as to why brethren will act this way isn't it? Folks need to step back and take a breath and count to ten. I personally feel that all views expressed here allow an excellent opportunity to learn. To ban some one because they have a differing view is just not American nor Baptist.

Okay, I think you have explained a bit better, here, perhaps. I'll follow along and see where the thread goes. But reread the one that got my attention, and see if you might like to perhaps reword it, in a better manner.

I am sorry to see SFIC go. I didn't interact with him much, I didn't know him, and I didn't always agree with what he said, however unlike many here I never was bother by him. The man was just standing firm for his Godly convictions, and I can respect that and separate it from not agreeing with what is said. In fact there are many things posted here that I find more offensive and with a more unChrist attitude than what read from him.
