What is Obama's plan for the aerial wolf hunting problem in Alaska?
It was such a serious issue for many Obama supporters here on the board during the campaign but I can't seem to find Obama's proposal to solve this very important problem.
Can anyone help me out here?

I missed it on here. Can you summarize for me?

Oh ok. Looks like pretty much just one person, sounds a bit misguided.
People with that opinion can come take the wolves and take them to their towns instead.
Animal lover here myself, but also someone who sees the cost of food here, sees that many people here have their main food source from hunting, and know that some churches further out have asked for prayer because they're low on food and this winter is COLD.
If lowering the wolf population helps feed humans or keep them safer (I've been walking my kids to the bus stop this week after hearing something close by that was NOT sounding like a moose!) then I'm all for it.
I love animals, but I love humans too and they are higher on the chain and get first priority. -
My solution, not Obama's.. -

I like your solution. -

Solution to the wolf problem? Don't build your house of straw or sticks.

It wasn't acted on in the last Congress; however, I have no doubt at all that if we get this bill reintroduced and passed through the current Congress(and the increased Democratic majorities in both houses should improve its prospects) that President Obama will sign it into law. :) -

Or, in the alternative, just invite the out-going Vice President to go out for a bird-hunt. [In this scenario, "hunter orange" police style bullet-proof vests and helmets with 'armored car' rated 'glass' visors are, of course, naturally mandatory for all the participants here, starting with the Vice-President, who will be required to wear a 'flak-jacket' as well as the vest. The one exception, is the Vice President's clothing and helmet must be 'camouflage' in the color of the surrounding terrain, as much as possible. And the SS (and any available, off-duty 'Air Marshals') should be undercover among, and on the lookout for "scopes", among any non-participating spectators who may be observing from a distance.] :tear:
A third possibility would be to offer to have the senior Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts give a demonstration of driving a snowmobile. (As long as there were no bridges to cross, in the process, of course.) That demo too, could well serve to reduce the wolf population, significantly.

From the artice:
"Legislation introduced today would protect wolves, bears, and other wildlife from the illegal and inhumane practice of airborne hunting."
IOW - it will make something that is already illegal illegal.
"The new bill would close a loophole in federal law that Alaska officials have exploited to permit individual hunters to shoot and kill nearly 700 wolves from aircraft in the past four years.... officials in Alaska have licensed people to shoot hundreds of wolves from aircraft under the guise of wildlife management and predator control..."
But - "The PAW Act makes it clear that states can only conduct activities prohibited by the Airborne Hunting Act to respond to legitimate biological and other emergencies..."
IOW - they will stop Alaska from using a loophole to control the wolf population by including the same loophole in the Act.
Democrats and liberals just want more laws passed - even if they change nothing. More symbolism over substance. -
