I sure hope there are no Free Will or American Baptists here. My guess most here are either SBC, IFB, Calvinistic, or Reformed baptists.

Just so I'm sure I understand, what distinction do you see between Reformed Baptist and Calvinistic Baptist? Just Covenant theology or something more?

1.
I am an Christian who holds to credo-baptism. I would be completely fine being a member of a non-baptist church that held to credo-baptism.
2.
I am a member of an independent, autonomous Baptist Church that cooperates voluntarily with the SBC.
3.
I am generally calvinistic, but would not be fully reformed like our ARBC brothers & sisters because I (a) am undecided on covenant theology, and in fact all eschatology, (b) I have concluded that the regulative principle of worship is not able to be consistently applied from scripture, and now hold to the normative principle, and (c) am not even really a 5-point Calvinist.
4.
I am much more scared of Landmark Baptists than Free-will Baptists.
We have some free-will, arminian, and nazarene baptists in our church right now!

Think calvinistic Baptists would be those holding to the Doctrines of grace, but Dispy in other regards!

Did anyone besides 12 Strings answer the question? Do you even know where you attend church? Perhaps you need to depart from your Baptist churches and join a non denominational church or one of the bible churches.

Thanks for answering the question. Me thinks that the rest do not attend Baptist churches or do not know about the church they attend.

Then why do you post on the Baptist board since you are not a Baptist Christian?

Then I guess I'm "Other" since "SBC-Calvinist" isn't an option nor is New Covenant Theology/Sovereign Grace Baptist.

You could have said SBC. Tell me are you a Reformed baptist church in the SBC? Tell me your eschatology.

Thanks Jordan. You are close to my position except I am Calvinistic but disp in eschatology so I am different than Reformed.
I prefer the ESV OR NIV but when I teach I use the KJV and when I witness I use a variety of versions.

ditto!
Why - would that be a problem?
Opps, I was once a pastor of a Free will Bap church.
Why not make a poll?

My bad. I thought you were specifying SBC Arminians.
The church is confused, most don't know what they believe. It's a time of change and revitalization. The Pastors are both Calvinists and hold to NCT, as do I.
My eschatology is loosely Historic Premill, but of a hopeful variety.

Church I attend have dropped "Baptist" from their name. I would characterize them as:
non-Cal, holds to eternal security
believer's baptism by immersion (duh!)
has both traditional services and modern worship services
heavy emphasis on missions
not KJV only
pre-trib, pre-mil (official stance of the church but doesn't hammer on it, currently my beliefs)
believe spiritual gifts have (mostly) ceased, but allow for exceptions
young earth creationism (personally I am torn on this one.)
sermons are mostly expository (currently working through book of Matthew) but have topical sermons several times a year.
