I did not consider write-in's, but I've been tempted to use this option in the past.
I can understand your concern; and, although I disagree, I can respect your decision.

In the 2006 elections, there were a couple races in which I simply did not vote. There was no place for a write-in candidate on the computer voting machine, and even if there were, I would have just made it a "Donald Duck" answer anyway. -

I could care less about party line. Look at the list given thus far for republicans. I would not vote for any of them. Give me a Christian democrat that does not vote against the word of God on issues and I will gladly cast them my vote even though I am registered republican.
Give me a choice between a Hitler and a Sadam and I will write down another even if I have to scratch them out to show God my vote against such leaders. If God wants a Hitler in office then let him be put there by the lost, not me. I want my hands to be clean of the matter.
If there is not allowed write-ins then I will not vote, but I will stand before my Maker knowing that I am not guilty of putting a murderer in office or any non-believer.
Another tacktic you hear is telling people that you might as well not vote for candidate A because they cannot win so vote for candidate B even though A is the better choice. You will see good candidates get cast as "unelectable" so you are told not to waste your vote on them. This is another way of saying vote with the popular crowd and be not seperate. Men pleasers rather than God pleasers.

I pray that by the time we are to cast our votes there will be a candidate we can whole-heartdly support, but if there isn't I'll have to vote for the best available. If I am only give a choice of McCain or Hillery, I will have to go with McCain even though I could name so many others I would prefer to vote for. We may not have a perfect candidate in several years, so it may be time to keep the vilest out of power just to protect the future of our children. It's gonna take dedicated Christians who aren't morally confused voting those into office who will incrimentallly get this ship heading in the right direction.
I'm praying Bush will have at least one more justice to place on the Supreme Court. It's gonna take one more to overturn Roe vs Wade.
I wish John Thune of S.D would run.
