12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
You are correct, though, contrary to a number of well known tele-evangelists, lol, Creation does not show His wrath, though it certainly displays His judgment. This world stands under a curse, and is not as it was in its original creation. Thorns and thistles are an easy example of that.
In view is God's judgment against men for their sin. Sodom and the Flood are two examples.
Creation does not show the wrath of God and Romans 1:18ff does not say that it does.
Creation reveals that there is an Almighty God.
The wrath of God is revealed when men do not honour Him as such.
When you are ready to actually learn something, LoDebar, let me know. I am not going to force you to recognize simple truths, nor can I persuade you to stop being contrary as I try to help you.
You simply seem to have an aversion to what the Word of God has to say, which is why you keep chasing the mouse, which is not a large font, it is what you want to believe, and your doctrine is hampered by what God has said.
one easy way to interpret this is through the New Testament and even by Calvary God has revealed his wrath against all ungodliness and righteousness. I mean the very fact that Paul is writing Romans 1:18 is the revelation of the wrath of God. The NT is full of warnings and prophecies about the wrath of God.
No, consciousness. Conscience is part of our consciousness, but only a part of it.
The fact that we think, have an internal monologue, and consider questions beyond simply those required for reproduction and surviving another day is profound evidence for God. It would take a long time to unpack it, but I chose the word carefully.
#1 First, notice that it says "THEY knew God".
However, God has never "known" the lost because He will one day say "I never knew you".
#2. While an atheist claims not to even believe in the existence of God, a "religious" person does. BUT he misses the CHARACTER of God entirely. Observe......
Psalm 50: 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee. 18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself:
Folks like the Pharisees, both 1st century and present-day ones, and folks like the Muslims, worship a man-made concept of God. They're definitely not atheists, and they definitely believe in one God, but unfortunately they're worshiping an "image" made like "corruptible man". The REAL God loved the world so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for whosoever will. And the REAL God is about loving your neighbor as yourself, and "offering praise" instead of slander and He's about "ordering our conversation aright" instead of hating instruction, thieving, adultering, speaking evil and deceiving.
why do you repute the verse? New International Version
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
Saved same fashion we were, buy God giving them the revelation on the Messiah, they then were saved by His Grace of the Cross, applied to them thru saving faith God gave unto his own!
