Which Bible Verses are Ripped Out of Context Most and Applied to Everything?

    Hebrews 2:10 [especially the last clause]
    "But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone."

    Matthew 23:37
    "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing."

    Instead of quoting it as "longed to gather your children together" Dave Hunt and other anti-Calvinists usually "quote" it as saying : "How often have I longed to gather you together."
