I came here out of sheer curiosity. And believe me - I haven't been disappointed! The "friendly discussions" (ahem) between Baptists and Catholics are certainly edifying, to say the least! Hope everyone is enjoying 2003 so far!
Why did you come to Baptist Board?

I came here to find out what it means to be 'Baptist'. I am thankful for the information. I used to believe there was little difference between those who claimed to believe the Bible is the source of God's instructions for us.
Now I know better. Now I know that there are other things held more dearly than the Bible. -

I came here cause I got lost and hung around too long and they thought I knew enough and was kind enough and funny enough... so they kept me! :D ... To make sure I didn't get away they made me a moderator. They do that with all baptist around here if you hang around too long you are moderator material  ... Hey would "I Lie"... On the BB?
I can agree to disagree with anyone and am not upset in the least... Hey sometimes I disagree with myself but that another complete post altogether  ... We need to be kinder and more forgiving because we are all in this together and we better learn to like each other now since we will be spending eternity together ... Brother Glen -
I was chatting and posting on a non-denominational site and wanted something more along Baptist lines. I stumbled upon the Baptistboard and have remained here.
Being of senior years and remote in the country, I came essentially for fellowship and to share what the Lord Jesus is doing in us each day.
My goal here, as in life, is to mirror Him in everything. We all know that the mirror loses some of its clarity and needs a thorough cleaning, but that is ok because that too is a learning process.
I have met so many wonderful people in all stages of growth, and I have even learned a few things in the process.
Cheers, God bless,
Jim -
Helen'Aitb.........if there is a particular subject you see in one of the Baptist only forums you are free to copy the topic and post it here.
Sorry that you can't post in Baptist only forums, but I think you understand why, and I appreciate your honesty on that point.
Cheers, and God bless,
Jim -
In other words, no I don't understand why. -

We don't have to understand. But we should respect the rules and encourage others to follow them.
AITB, I've told you that your Church sounds a lot like a Baptist church. But rules are rules, and I really respect the way you have submitted to them. -
So I decided it wasn't worth it .
I hate submitting - being even more honest. But maybe it's good for me to learn how ;)
Happy New Year, everyone!
love in Jesus
