Dems are calling for the resignation of Senators Hawlley and Cruise for challenging the electoral college vote.

Will they take the next step and criminalize support for Tr:mp and/or his agenda?

They should. I'm glad we voted the right people in. We're already starting to see a better America...Trump is banned on all social media, tech companies are banning conservative apps, Trump supporters are being arrested. :Biggrin

Take out the words "Trump & supporter" and relace with "person" then I will agree with you"

(note: I highlighted in bold the quote by you)

So, by labeling Tr:mp supporters as “Nazi”, is the foundation being laid for widespread prosecution based not on any “acts” but on association with the movement?

This is how marxists governments work. Opposition is criminalized, speech is silenced, the people are controlled through fear.

    peace to you

We're talking about the assault on the capital. Yes there are reasons why I didn't include Antifa. One is the definite call-out Trump made at his rally right before the invasion. Another is in all the pictures and video's I've seen from the capital I only saw people with Trump hats, T-shirts, etc. Also the only Republican they seemed to be fighting mad about was Pence for not disobeying the constitutional requirement to simply count the electors votes and declare Joe Biden the winner and President-Elect. No mention is made of any arrests made of Antifa people out of the total of 68 that I'm aware of so far. What's your evidence showing that Antifa was involved?

No, not directly. I’m asking if Dems will attempt to criminalize support for Tr:mp.

For years, conservatives in general and supporters of Tr:mp in particular have increasingly been portrayed as dangerous by dems and traditional media. Notice the reference to supporters as “nazis” in this thread. Who could be opposed to prosecuting nazis?

Already we have seen efforts to silence any opposition to liberal ideology. Conservatives are “doxed” and targeted for harassment. The next step is criminal prosecution?

    peace to you

And how many steps is it to intimidate who you vote for, for fear of persecution?

Only if those supporters break the law, incite or participate in terrorism, etc.

    Some are.

Have you been calling out Republican pundits and the President for calling those who do not support him as evil, "Demon rats," pedophiles, enemies of the people, baby-killers, etc.? There's been a lot of that on this forum, but few Trump supporters seem to be disturbed about that. Rush Limbaugh has been doing that since the 1990s. That's what finally got me to turn him off for good. But Fox News and other talk radio hosts found it is extremely profitable to demean people. Donald Trump rose to political prominence on this very thing.

I condemn all acts of violence.

If only the dems would prosecute the people burning the cities down for the past year, instead of claiming they are peaceful protesters.

    peace to you

Democrats should refuse to allow registered Republicans to take the covid vaccine if they don’t want it.
