Murdoch hosts Bill and Hillary Clinton
snippet:Rupert Murdoch, the conservative media mogul whose New York Post tabloid savaged Hillary Clinton's initial aspirations to become a US senator for New York, has agreed to host a political fundraiser for her re-election campaign
snippet:Mr Murdoch will host the fundraiser, due to be held by July, on behalf of News Corp.
snippet:The decision reflects an assiduous courtship by Mrs Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. Last month Mrs Clinton surprised Washington by attending the "Fox News Sunday" 10th anniversary party, where she chatted with Mr Murdoch.
Mr Clinton has encouraged Mr Murdoch's involvement with his Global Initiative and has invited him to speak again at the second forum in September. The former president will also address News Corp's summer conference.

Who cares?
As long as FOX continues to deliver the news with the least bias of major news sources, I'm in. -
-
Carpro, my friend, I think we have just found your problem!!
-
I watch CNN and FOX. I scour the news channels to find stories of interest and try to get the view from several points. Fox basically has a good show in my "opinion".....but, they do put a lot of their opinions in their news....
And the spin stops here... -
I'll stick to CNN and MSNBC. FOX News has never impressed me.
-
I will still watch them as long as they report the news. I agree with carpo, they are the least biased and really the only network news willing to give both sides of any issue. It is not that they are first to give a conservative perspective, they are the only ones offering both sides. As long as they continue to be fair and balanced, I will continue to watch.
I really enjoy their early morning show but the evening shows are not really news. -
I don't trust any of the news outlets very much but I do trust Fox to present most of it with far less bias than ABC, CBS, NBC, or CNN. I take them all as being in the business of marketing their product. They all make the maximum out of whatever hot topic is available at the moment. I find they specialize not in the subject matter but in the dramatic presentation of the superficial aspects of a subject. That's why some things are big news one day and nothing the next when there's a better story available. They play of emotion, fear, implication, etc. and gloss over facts and reason. That's why there's rarely any depth to the reports and very little follow up after the initial enticement has passed. My measure leading to this conclusion are those selected subjects about which I'm personally well informed. When I read news reports on these subjects I'm usually impressed by how grossly ignorant the reporters are of the subject matter. By extrapolation I conclude they're just as ignorant about other subjects I'm not so well informed about. I try not to let the news media educate me or formulate too many of my opinions.

The truth is that I rarely watch or listen to any major news source, but past experience has taught me that Fox is the least biased.
I could care less who Murdoch supports as long as the news coming from FOX is straight. -

I dont watch any news. Who cares what goes on with the politicians?
-
I still watch Fox News despite the fact that Saudi Prince al-Walid bin Talal now owns shares in Fox News and even though his influence on the news has been seen in at least one instance where the headline was changed. And the fact that "fair and balanced" hasn't decided to broadcast about their new ownership. It's still better than the al-Jazeera of the West, CNN. The only person I care for on CNN is Lou Dobbs.
-
That says alot about the mainstream media being tied to politics LE. How can anyone trust them to give us the straight truth when they're busy acting as PR outlets for the politicians and big business?
-
So much for "fair and balanced," huh?
Regards to you, LE - headed your way this week: going to Tennessee for a few days,
