I'm not threatened by them because I know I'm straight.
But there's just something disgusting about two people of the same sex making love, and using anatomical parts that are not God-designed for intercourse.
And then try to imagine those two with full beards, bulging muscles, and bobbing Adam's apples....aaarrrrgggghhhh !!! :BangHead: :tonofbricks:LORD, I WANNA GO HOME !!!!

I remember reading somewhere that a debate will hit rock bottom when someone on either side of the debate references the Nazis.
That being said, perhaps it's time for this thread to die.....

I do. History has shown that God commanded that homosexuality is an evil sin and is not to be tolerated.
God makes decisions easy.

It's not that uncommon. A man who has some homosexual tendencies, which he is trying to deny or control, may very well become violent if a homosexual comes on to him.
It's a very real problem, and it has to be considered when evaluating the policy. -
And those men that have godly tendencies and react with a godly anger at the hideous offense of homosexuality . . .
I guess they are supposed to remain politically correct in the face of extreme sin. -
A man who is outspoken against child pornography must also be suppressing his desire to exploit children. Those bigots!

Why not concentrate on spreading the Good News, and let those who have made their choices in life deal with the choices they have made? To usurp a quote from a movie I once saw: We don't have a lot of time here.
[that's not verbatim] I have too many friends and family that need Jesus, and a "godly anger" isn't going to help me help them understand that need.

Godwin's Law? Blast from the past:
You lose.
What former Secretary Cohen wants to do is to modify "don't ask, don't tell" into "don't ask, don't tell, don't harass" AGAIN:
Not gonna happen, from last summer, this throwback policy:
was reinstiuted by this administration. -
You know, changing the policy really won’t change anything in the military. It’ll legitimize homosexuality, which is sad, but it won’t change the military.
It sounds like a change in policy would just appease the homosexual population, to an extent. -

If a female prostitute tried to "seduce" me, do I have a biblical right to kill her for tempting me with sin?
No difference between that and being seduced by a homosexual.
The best thing a person could do in such a situation is to tell the offender that you will pray for God to show them the evils of their lifestyle and to turn from their sins. That ought to difuse the situation fairly quickly. -

Homosexuality is sin, there are no two ways about it, just as murder, rape, incest, pedophilia, and telling a white lie is.
But, besides being sin, homosexuality spreads and creates disease. It is an unhealthy lifestyle, just as heterosexual promiscuity is, not to mention being abnormal. It is not normal, and therein lies the rub. The homosexuals are pushing that lifestyle as a "normal, acceptable" even God-given lifestyle. They are pushing that philosophy in the schools to children, in the churches, and now, into the military. Nothing is sacrosanct anymore.
You're right. If two full-bearded, muscled, very macho looking men would like to use spots in their "ups" and "downs" to gratify their lust towards each other in the privacy of their bedrooms, it is their own business. But when they start telling my grandchildren through my grandchildren's school and through the symbols of American society such as the military, that it is a normal, acceptable, way of life, then it becomes my business.
My favorite coach has stated the issue most clearly in pointing out how the homosexual community and their "understand-ers" (forgive the neology) have obfuscated the real issue by diverting the debate to "choice".
I am going to post his article as another thread, and those of you who think that to fight homosexuality's tightening grip on the fabric of American society is nothing more than self-righteousness are welcome to argue against the points he has raised. -
Again, it's a choice that one must make, and must give account to The Almighty. I can respect your opinion, I simply do not share it.
I do not feel compelled to spend time debating the subject of homosexuality. We are in agreement that it is sin, and apparently agree that it is something that is best left to an individual to decide for themselves. Let's leave it at that.
Have fun in your discussion.

If defending God's body from the evil of homosexuality is not something that you can understand, then I would have to ask "why" you think it is proper to commit such an evil act (homosexuality) to another person.
I thank God that I do not live with your issues. My issues are bad enough . . .

The military is a secular, civil organization whose job it to kill by the sword. It is not a church, or a religious organization. So I see no reason to kick homosexuals out. -
duh?
Spoken like a true civilian that enjoys the freedoms that are bought by the sacrifices of the few . . .
Duh!
Why don't you go down to your local Air Force recruiter . . . (I would be scared if ya' got in the Army). . . and ask them to let poor little sinner you (addicted to ____ ) in the Air Force. I do pray that your sin is not homosexuality . . .

Duh . . .
Go into the military . . . just do it. Then tell them you have a little problem with? Alcohol . . . then tell me how long it takes them to put you out.
Luck to ya'.
Sadly, I have known hundreds of men (& women) that have been 'kicked out' for what you claim they are not kicked out for . . . All to give you the freedom to be wrong.
