    Not really. When I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, spanking was still the norm. Everyone I knew was spanked. Some turned out good, some not so good.

    In any event, it's not the spanking, but the complete lack of effective discipline.

    So are parents supposed tolet thir kids get way with misbehaving according to this hudeg? I don't understand.
