"According to research conducted by the US Department of Energy and General Motors, nearly nine out of 10 women (88 per cent) say they'd rather chat up someone who owns the latest fuel-efficient car versus the latest sports car. It gets worse. Eighty per cent of American car buyers would find someone with the latest fuel-efficient car more interesting to talk to at a party than someone with the latest sports car. And, more than 4 out of 10 (45 per cent) 18- to 43-year-olds say it's a fashion faux pas nowadays to have a car that's not green or environmentally friendly."

'green' has become a religion.

If I was in the market for a vehicle I would definitely give serious consideration to a hybrid vehicle. It would be the prudent thing to do, imo, regardless of one's views toward being environmentally responsibility and regardless of how one defines being environmentally responsible.

Hmmm - A faithful, honest, true Godly man....
or a man who drives a "green" car.
Oh, decisions, decisions!!

I bet on Beta, VHS won.
I bet on 1½-gallon flush, 1.0-gallon flush won
I bet on 8-Track sound tape, cassette won.
I'd say bet on a hybrid that supplements gasoline with a gas/hydrogen boster. IF futhermore, it saves 2% with passenger petal power - all the better! -
In any event, to drive a "green" car is indeed a sign of responsible stewardship and participation in God's plan to redeem all of his creation - including the earth that we damage. People will dispute this, but the Scriptural case is clear - earth will be redeemed and renewed. So why work against God in this respect by polluting His precious creation without need? -
Besides, a green car does not a good man make. ;) -
Most people switching to 'green' cars are not doing it to be good stewards of God's earth. They're doing it because it's the newest religion.

Not from what I've been hearing people say.

Can you provide some of the comments that you have heard? I am curious as to what people are saying. I haven't heard people say such around here.
