After the complete collapse of civility towatds the Vice President-elect Pence during his visit to the play on Friday evening ... there is a movement to hit the liberal cast and crew of the play in the pocketbook, with a boycott. I think this is long overdue, especially since the initial casting call stated that white people should not apply
(http://thehill.com/pundits-blog-aut...d-casting-notice-seeking-non-white-performers).
If interested in more about the boycott, go to #boycotthamilton.
Do you think the boycott is reasonable considering the negative reception and cast lecture of Pence?
I'm about to spend 2 weeks at Tobyhanna for a class. One of my friends in the class is from Michigan, and has never been to NYC, so we were planning a trip for the weekend.
I checked the prices for Hamilton, cheapest seats were almost 800 bucks.
If I was going to Tobyhanna PA, Id drive in the other direction? Why not see Scranton & while you are at it, go to my old home town of Old Forge where you can get a good old fashion pizza at Russo's, Salernos, Alcaro & Genells.....there are 7-8 of them & I'm related to them all. Hillery didn't stop in this time & that was her fatal mistake.:Smile
BTW......Red Pizza pie is $14.00 & White Pizza is 17.00 (shameless plug).
I don't like the idea of "no white people need apply", as that destroys the racial diversity they were going for. But, isolating the message to VP-Elect Pence, nothing that I saw it heard was out of line. They were essentially saying that they hope that the new administration will represent ALL people. Not an unreasonable request. Unnecessary, imo. But not unreasonable.
Huh, who on the "Trump Team" is shooting for racial diversity? Besides, don't go to a Broadway play in Manhattan and expect anything less from that type of cast.
not when the people of Scranton think going to a bowling alley and then a diner is a night out,,,but then guns and bibles is our speed...according to Obama.
