Would you do what this preacher did?

    A pastor friend of mine told me when he was a home missionary -and were starting a new church;
    for several months - both the pastor and his wife would each drive their cars to the church building to make it appear that more people were there.

    So were they being dishonest - or just a good marketing plan?

    New restaurants have employees strategically park in front of the building to make it more welcoming than an empty parking lot.


    Dishonest is when you borrow cars from your buddy that owns a used car lot to just park them in front of the church. ;)
    Two cars say there are at least two people inside ... and there were.

    Or you could rent a used car sales lot building for your new Bible study!!!

    No. Would only take two cars if there were an actual reason we needed to take two cars.
    No doubt it was marketing, but Jesus put did not put us in the marketing business. While it may not be that far down on the dishonesty scale, it seems his own words betray an intent to deceive -- to make it appear that more people were there than really were.
