    I just felt it would not be the best place, with the casket right there, to have people come up. Maybe it's me, but the funeral is for the deceased and the family, and to have an alter call might be disrespectful, and take away from the focus of the true reason people were there.

    Although, if the family didn't mind, I can't see why I would not have folks come forward! So, you pose a good question. Thanks!
