Like I thought...you are only interested in trolling. All bark and no bite.

I think it's funny that several people in this thread have had the same problem with your arguments and have posted similar rebuttals and yet, you have absolutely no clue that the problem could be with you.

Everybody else is wrong but you.

Flowers are a living thing. Can it be sinful to pick them?
What does this have to do with the discussion? I'm sure flowers were picked in the Garden of Eden, and we know plants were eaten. They have no blood, hence no "life" in the sense an animal or human does.

I see nothing but a bunch of people raised on hunting for "sport" trying to defend their practice. Maybe I'll go down to the local Planned Parenthood and ask their advice on whether abortion is wrong as well.

See... now you are talking like PETA.. .

Please don't go that route.. you know that God values a HUMAN life more than an animals life... I posted that scripture...

Don't devalue the pro-life stance by equating babies with animals...

I'm hardly talking like PETA. I'm against killing an animal for recreation, not killing an animal...huge difference (something the Tractor Man can't understand).

I wasn't trying to undermine a human life, I was making a point about a specific group of people who believe one way is probabably not the best place to get an unbiased opinion.

You seem to be equating animals with humans

This personal attack supports my allegation to the T. Thanks. You are aware that is in violation of the BB, don't you?

OK. You report me for calling you a name and I'll report you for calling me a name.

Or you could just grow up.

Really? You mean that you're really so morally confused that you don't understand the difference between gathering animals for food and killing a little baby?

I think I'm coming to the "don't answer a fool according to his folly" part of the thread.

Would you behave!!...

We have a good ol fashioned Baptist board showdown going here.. I just went for popcorn, and you want to escalate it to WW3!

Here's a flower for you.. .:flower:

Don't worry.. the only thing I destroyed by giving you that flower is the environment.. you see it took electric to post that.. and electric runs off of coal.. which according to all the libbies.. destroys poor polar bears by global warming..

OH man.. I guess I am a double sinner.. because this poor dumb hillbilly from WV support mining for coal.. and that kills poor animals via global warming..

I just hope none of the city dwellers flip a light switch... because that uses electricity that comes from burning coal that leads to pollution which increases green house gasses which heats up the earth and melts the polar icecaps.. and some poor polar bear dies...

WATCH OUT!.. wHEW That was close my son almost killed a polar bear... he was about to turn the TV on!

OK.. OK.. I am having too much fun!.. that has to be a sin!... we all know, God wouldn't want us to enjoy life...

I think I will go to Christmas play practice.... If this thread is still going.. I may comment.. or I might just bow out...

Be nice to one another because, believe it or not.. each of us on here is more important to God than any deer that get's killed next week.. .we are made in his image...

Webby looks like God
JohnV looks like God.
Johndeere looks like God...

And even Rev. looks like God... boy that must be a stretch of faith~! :tongue3:

It would help at this point to put the keyboard down and back away from the computer and I should take your advice. What part of KILLING AN ANIMAL FOR RECREATION (not for food) DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?

What part of JUST BECAUSE SOMEBODY ENJOYS HUNTING DOESN'T MEAN THEY KILL FOR PLEASURE don't you understand?

There are many aspects of hunting to enjoy besides killing.

I didn't report you for anything (I know your reading comprehension is a little rusty), I just wanted to bring it to your attention, not that it helps.

Most of it, as it is a copout. You can enjoy providing for your family if needed, you can enjoy the outdoors, you can enjoy spending time with family and friends, but to enjoy killing an animal, the hunt, is what has been stated on this very thread as the "thrill". It's the "thrill" of getting the buck in your crosshair and pulling the trigger. This was stated on this very thread.

Question for the hunters...would the entire experience be different if you traded your bow or rifle for a Nikon, why or why not?

Yes. That would be called photography. I have hundreds of wildlife pictures I've taken from the same treestand I use to hunt. My camera is a Canon but the scope on my Savage 7mm-08 is a Nikon.

Maybe I'm hanging around with the wrong guys but I really don't know anyone who hunts to satiate a blood lust.

There's a hundred emotions running through your mind when you aim your bow or gun at a deer. They are majestic creatures and the taking of their life is not something done haphazardly. You just don't start blasting away at it hoping you punch enough holes in it so it will die. I wounded and lost a deer several years ago. I spent over a day and a half looking for it. You cannot begin to imagine the sick, hollow feeling that puts in your gut. I'm sure there are so-called hunters who wouldn't even bother to look for a blood trail. I'm not one of those and neither is my hunting partner.

We do derive great pleasure from our marksmanship, woodsmanship and the whole deer camp experience. We hunt in the deer's natural environment. They live in the woods in all weather conditions. The advantage is to the deer. It takes a collection of various skills to put yourself in the place where you have a chance to harvest a deer. The enjoyment of hunting takes all those factors into consideration. I cannot divorce one facet of hunting and call it immoral.

I have the rack from 9-pointer mounted and hanging on the wall at camp. Nothing was wasted. The meat went in the freezer. The hide was donated to a local veteran's group. The feet were made into a gun rack. The antlers hang on the wall as a reminder of days well spent with my best friend in a 12x15 cabin in the woods.

So I guess you think everyone should be required to shoot a buck and mount the head and use the OH WAIT!!!!! That was someone else who thought it was wrong for others to do or not do something they (someone else) did want to do or did not want to do. I wonder if these people get upset if others have read different scriptures on certain days?

(Padredurand I mean you no ill, I hope you didn't mind me using your post as the point of my sarcasm.) I agree with you by the way.
