Why does Israel agree to a cease fire with Hamas, when they know from past numerous occasions, that the same thing will happen again. If there was ever a better example of "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
    Albert Einstein

........I do not know what it is. Why not end it once and for all? Or rather, why didn't they do that the first time? There is no good will amongst Muslims, especially for Israel. Their ultimate goal is to destroy the Jewish state, regardless of how much time it takes. All Israel is doing by agreeing to cease fires is guaranteeing it will happen again. It may be another four or five years, but it will happen again. That does not even take into account the repeated actions of Hezbollah in the Golan Heights and Lebanon. Also looming out there is the constant threat from Iran.

"Gaza without Gazans: History of an Israeli fantasy. Today, Ben-Gurion could declare with satisfaction that he was right: A thousand conquests haven't conquered Gaza.

On December 17, 1948, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion told his cabinet, "We might benefit from conquering Gaza. But it's clear to me that Gaza won't be in our hands even if we conquer it 1,000 times.""

But alas, Haaretz is not as forthcoming with 'the rest of the story' as is Paul Harvey.

Hamas and Hebollah is Iran. There will be no peace there until the AntiChrist is defeated because the only acceptable solution for Iran is for Jews not to be there. Nothing else is acceptable to them.

The one 'you people' fondly refer to as 'AC' is a ficticious character, there's no such person in the scriptures.

They are starved for peace, that is why they keep signing cease fire agreements. This is shown in Scripture with their willingness to sign the brokered peace treaty by none other than the very real AC (who is merely spiritualized away as fictitious in what amounts to their fictitious eschatology.)

Slightly OT, but I heard a guy on talk radio, Dennis Prager (happens to be Jewish), give a challenge question regarding the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. In case you were wondering which side wants peace, ask yourself:

    1. If Israel were to unilaterally lay down all their arms, would there still be an Israel nation/people in the future?

    2. If the Palestinians were to unilaterally lay down all their arms, would there still be Palestinians in the future?

Read 1 John and 2 John. The word "antichrist" is there in Scripture several times.

The Land belongs to Israel. Period.

my thoughts, for what they are worth....

....are that Israel is under tremendous worldwide pressure to not be the aggressor [even though, though in fact, they are never the aggressor]. We also have to keep in mind that America still says a lot of political clout over Israel, but, in the end times that clout will wane as Israel acts on their own.
