You are referring to Acts 13:48. Where you will see both grammatically and contextually, that the verb, "τάσσω", can take the "middle voice", where the context demands it. you will notice in verse 46, the Jews regarded themselves as not worthy of eternal life (NOT God), which is the "middle voice", by contrast, the Gentiles gladly accepted this same Message (middle voice), and thereby "enrolled themselves" on God's side by their acceptance. There is no objection in the Greek grammar in the passage as a whole, to what I have said here. If there is, I would like to see it.

So God INVITES ALL through the preaching of the Gospel to ALL, and then by design, in the limited death of Jesus Christ, rejects the greater majority!

Same paul also taught to us that God had elected to himself a faithful remnant out from among unbelieving Israel, so just some, not all were saved, correct?

Oh geeze... how many times do I have to hear that Calvin wasn’t a 5 pointer. Really, who actually cares. We are not Presbyterians here, we don’t hold to the importance of the sacraments to be saved....we are Baptists ... saved by Grace alone and Calvin be hanged.

According to you. You make the assumption that you are right. He might be right. Calling someone like Rodgers "bogus" and "pathetic" demonstrates how far out of touch with mainstream Baptists you and other hardcore Calvinists are.

the point is, that God knows, and He is very able to get His message of salvation to the "elect" if they were the only ones to be saved. It is very cruel to tell the whole world that God loves them enough to want them all saved, and then reject the greater majority to eternal punishment. This is NOT the God of the Bible, not His Gospel Message. Calvinism and Reformed theology has hijacked the simple Gospel Message to make it an "elite" only salvation and do much harm to this very message they claim to preach!

You are always banging on about Calvin, why is that? I for one don’t give a rats arse about Calvin... or any man for that matter. Only Christ and his Word are sufficient and yes I do believe the Doctrines of Grace are reflective of scripture

I most certainly do, and human freedom and responsibility. God has made humans as "free agents"

"The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and in order to be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thess. 2:9-12)

Who can deny this teaches "free choice" of humans?

LOL—- per Jonathan Edwards, “that by which the mind chooses anything.”

When confronted with God, the mind of a sinner never thinks that God’s way is good. The mind turns away because it does not want God to be sovereign over it. The way it chooses is actually the way of alienation and misery, the end which is death. But humans think sin is best. Therefore, unless God changes the way we think, which he does by the miracle of new birth—our mind always tells us to turn from God.

Yes. The Gospel call is universal and is to be preached to everyone.
