The judge in the Chauvin trial castigated Waters and agreed that the defense had a case to call for a mistrial because of what she said.

Minimum, she gets censored. Maximum she gets impeached and removed from office.

No, Maxine did something much, much different. Given the violent recent history of BLM and Antifa with all of their rioting, looting, arson, vandalism, etc., her calling for escalation here should be the last straw.

I’m not sure a congressman is subject to impeachment. I think there is a different process where the house simply votes to refuse to allow them to take the seat or sit on committees.

I might be wrong on that, but I don’t think it’s impeachment.

Whatever it is, she will not be disciplined in any way.

    peace to you

Considering Pelosi defended her, that sounds like a pretty safe bet.

Article 1, Section 5, Clause 2 of the US Constitution provides that each house of Congress has the power to expel a member by the vote of a two-thirds majority.
There is a bit of history regarding this kind of impeachment. The House voted in 1797 to impeach Tennessee Senator William Blount. However, in 1799 the Senate dismissed the charges, claiming a lack of jurisdiction (though whether because the Senate had already expelled him from office, or whether they thought a Senator was or was not an impeachable office is not altogether clear).

When committing perjury while testifying under oath in a court of law doesn't rise to the level of "actionable" because of party affiliation ('cough' President Clinton 'cough') ... the process is SO POLITICAL that nothing short of 1st degree murder is actionable. Only an assassination in the House of Representatives by a member would get a member expelled ... and only to protect the rest of the members from possible stray bullets.

She is high on a list of corrupt members of congress.

Rep. Maxine Waters’ family continues to profit directly from her position in Congress | Washington Examiner

In 2005, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., was added to a liberal watchdog’s running list of the most corrupt members of Congress. Waters was added again in 2006 to the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington’s annual report on D.C. corruption. They added her again in 2009 and one more time in 2011.

The group may want to consider saving a spot for Waters for its upcoming report for 2018.

The congresswoman’s daughter, Karen Waters, is set to collect more than $200,000 for heading a slate mailer operation for her mother’s 2018 re-election campaign, the Washington Free Beacon reported, citing new Federal Election Commission data:

What that tells you about the many people who live there, they are Troglodytes.
People need to get out of whatever fake hole they bury themselves in and see whats going on with the people they vote for. Or maybe they are all just like she is.

Interesting use of names in this trial. The defendant's last name begins with CHAVIN & and the Judge's first name is PETER. I wonder what both are pondering about the reaction that the jury will make in this case! (BTW, Salty, have U filed YOUR application to replace NYs' Chief Executive? .... Let's see....A military vet, an individual with strong & ethical leanings....One who seeks change in NY's (and the other 49 states as well!)....H'mmm.....Didn't someone who goes by the handle "Salty" once contemplated moving into a better mansion than his present one? ;););):):):) 73 & DX to y'all!!

Yeah, expulsion is the ticket out. And, yes, it's unlikely she will even be censured.

But it appears she could be brought up on criminal charges without it. And, no, that won't happen either.
