Good riddance to Liz Cheney – Yo Lizzy, don’t go away mad, just go away rejected and humiliated back to the smoldering ruins of your failed dynasty. Her ejection is the minimum act of political hygiene necessary to demonstrate to the base that the Republican Party is no longer the cruise ship fleet of the past. I’d ship off Adam Kinzinger too, but his new pals the Democrats will take care of that simpering suck-up soon enough when they gerrymander his Illinois district into oblivion in 2022.

    Nice sentiment.

It proves that what used to be the Republican Party is the party of the Trump personality cult, where no dissent is allowed and one cannot say anything that upsets the Dear Leader.

Nope, it's another death in the country club Rockefeller wing of the GOP. Trump in and of himself has nothing to do with it.

yeah. Liz just went too far. It's not that she criticized Donald Trump. she voted with the Democrats to impeach him when he was days away from leaving office. A Republican voting to impeach a Republican president over bogus charges isn't what RR had in mind.

She's on her way out from the leadership position she didn't deserve in the first place.

Trump should have been impeached. The fact that so many Republicans folded instead of doing the morally right thing is a sure tell that the new Republicans are just as totalitarian as the far left. It is such a sad thing to watch radicals overrun the two political parties. I would welcome a common sense party in the middle of the lunatic fringes.

I have a much higher view of Ronald Reagan than you do. I think he would have been appalled that a President, ESPECIALLY a "Republican" President, would incite a riot on the Capitol where police officers were beaten and severely injured. He certainly wouldn't be a coward, hiding behind his Party identity, to put his stamp of approval on the President inciting the attack.

Lying that Ronald Reagan wasn't a cowardly politician who would approve of an attack on Congress? Not hardly.

Reagan was a long way from perfect, but he loved the Constitution, the rule of law, and had respect for our system of government. Liz Cheney is one of those people. So is Romney.

Even Mitch McConnell found his spine after the vote and spoke out against what Trump did.

Romney and Cheney got censured. Cheney is losing her leadership spot. She is also getting primaried.

Trump did nothing wrong his words are being intentionally twisted out of hate and dishonesty.

History is going to show that as an honorable thing.

Yes, that's what happens when you stand for principles and unprincipled people outnumber you. That's called moral courage.

    False.

    False.

    False.

yeah, nevertrumpers are a lost cause and I don't see any reason to continue to debate them over Donald Trump - he is gone but he's still entrenched in their heads.

Liz Cheney is like that, so I'm glad her career is self-destructing. She's currently the darling of the left but she'll have a rude awakening soon. Maybe she can help with audit in Arizona in the meantime, or maybe not.

Trump broke no law. What he said was protected speech by every legal standard.

The key question is can a globalist be considered a RINO?
And if a person does not believe in a secure border, nor cause the existing laws to be enforced, can they be classified as a RINO?
Until Mr. Trump was elected, I did not even understand the view of America First was not held by the globalists. I believe the Dems and RINOs sold out America, and at our next election we should give them the boot.

Well, it's refreshing to see an admission that the Dem Progressive Left is totalitarian, even if it reveals an inability to distinguish it from bona fide efforts to right America.

Unfortunately, the Reps did not fully support their mandate those first two years. Exit RINOs. They are exiting because their constituents want a pro-America agenda, not a globalist or pro-China one.

Impeaching Trump was both highly immoral and hypocritical in both instances, but that is unsurprising, as it was the violently totalitarian Dem Progressive Left doing it, with a few RINOs to garnish the effort.

Don't yell "fire" in a crowded theater...
Reynolds, your church would need to discipline Donald Trump if he were a member. He would be called to account for his bully behavior, his lying and his godless actions. He would need to repent (which he would never do).
Dictators don't break the law...they make the law so they do whatever they will. There is no way that Christians could support Pontus Pilate and there should be no way that Christians support Donald Trump. Yet, here we are with Christians bowing at the feet of Donald Trump. The world rightfully sees the hypocrisy as some Christians turn from Jesus and place their hope in Trump. It's sad.
