I've enjoyed my time on the baptist board these past few months, however, there is something rather puzzling to me as it seems as if baptists are in the minority here on the board. There appears to be a lot of non-denominationalists here, as well as Catholics and others. It seems to take away from the title of the site, and more or less turns it into another Christian forum. Can this really be considered a baptist site with so many non-baptists on here? Can helpful baptist discussions be had with so many non-baptists here (I know that there are many different branches of baptists)? Just curious as to the thoughts of the rest of my fellow baptists on this matter.

I have always wondered why we have as a part of the Board areas where those into advocating heresy of the Church of Rome, WoF, and sda keep on posting away!

But we do insist that only Baptist post in the Baptist only section!
And we do monitored that very closely.

We don't mind someone of a different Faith - who mentions his non- baptist belief -
It can be educational for us.

But when he start proselytizing - we will punch is exit visa very quickly.

We seem though to be endorsing at times that Rome and say Sda are teaching and upholding real Christianity!

I am a Baptist with Charismatic leanings, so it does not bother me.

The board is always changing. It can have mostly Baptists one time and not so much at other times. People come and go. Further this board serves to provide income to its owner. It is not strictly a spiritual board. Maintaining a board like this also has overhead. Things are not so cut and dry.

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Now show me where it says Baptist?... Brother Glen:)

  • OUR GOD and OUR LAMB.
  • (Mary is not “our Queen of Heaven”)
  • (Our Lamb is not an Angel or ‘a god’)
As the saying goes: “In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas, in omnibus caritas.”

Tell you what - suppose 2 or 3 people start a new Board - of course you will have to bear all the coast associated with it - then you can make your own rules!

Okay - who is the first one to step up????

Tempting, but in the words of Groucho Marks … “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.” :)

I learned this code from Dan Brown...

Now show me where it says Baptist?. . .
The Baptist name of churches is a post reformation name. This groups tenet are to be New Testament churches in the faith and it's churches in practice. This is what I understand and so believe.

The New Testament churches have always been from their beginning.

Well I'm sure the Baptist appreciate it, give them something to show their friends... And it is true you did show me Baptist but they are not one only ones there!... Brother Glen:)

John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
