For heavens sake, the shooter clams to be Muslim, ISIS claims credit. No one needs to point out that it was a Muslim. It is not rocket-science to know it was a Muslim.

You just proved that laws need to be tightened.

Again, no normal citizen needs an assault rifle.

Then why does the president refuses to ever pubical label and identify that?
Islam has a HUGH problem within its ranks now, and we just might have to go over there andexterminate all those that hold to that crazy mindset, of radical terrorists!

A friend of mine on FB jumped right on the progressive wagon and said:

"More senseless killing by someone with guns. The type of guns along with the person shooting the guns is more justification for stricter gun laws. Unfortunately, as always, it's the bad apples that ruin it for all the others. Even though the shooter was killed, 50 plus humans, family and friends had to suffer. Sad, sad, sad. "

    My reply:

"Yes, indeed, stricter gun laws are needed to protect our rights to bear them. We may all need to start carrying guns to protect ourselves from Islamic terrorists. Especially if Hillary were to become President, God forbid, and refuses to protect our border and allows unverified Muslim refugees by the 10's of 1,000's to roll into our country. If that is the case, we may also need more guns as per our Constitutional rights to protect us from the our own government (A few bad apples like Obama's/Hillary's governmental leadership trying to take away our 2nd amendment rights) while they simultaneously are putting us at risk with their progressive agendas that even refuse to even identify the "real enemy". Yes, too bad some of the people in that bar weren't carrying their guns. Very sad indeed..."

There were no "assault rifles" used in the shooting.

Assault rifles have been illegal in the US in the hands of private citizens since 1938.

    byTedonJune 9, 2016inFeatured,General

    By Theodore Shoebat

ISIS Muslim terrorists released a statement on their plan to attack Florida, and even put out a list with the names of people in Florida that they plan on killing. According to one report:

A pro-Isis group has released a hit list with the names of more than 8,000 peoplemostly Americans.

More than 600-people live in Florida, and one security expert believes that many of those targeted live in Palm Beach County and on the Treasure Coast.

Florida Sheikh declared in 2013 speech, "We have to get rid of homosexuals now".

“Death is the sentence. We know there’s nothing to be embarrassed about this, death is the sentence…We have to have that compassion for people, with homosexuals, it’s the same, out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

    Yep.

My own opinion. More, not fewer, guns in the hands of law-following people is what is needed.

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth and soon you have a country of toothless and blind people.

And how do you guarantee only "law-following" people can have weapons?

No normal citizen needs assault weapon!

Nobody said anything about an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, which, in the Old Testament is a LIMITATION on your response, not an excuse for it.

And if you won't lift a finger to defend yourself or your family you must have a pretty low opinion or your, and your family's, worth. :(

There are no "guarantees" in life. But the way to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals is done using the NIC system (National Instant Criminal Background Check system).

    We're talking self-defense. You're talking revenge.

How can you guarantee that the criminals who would prey on the law-following unarmed would not have them?

(And TCassidy answered your question in his post 33.)

Oh, but they have by suggesting that more "law-abiding" folk get weapons.

Different topic. But that is a scare tactic used by the insecure.

How often have you have to defend your loved ones? I never have and I have been in some dangerous places. :Sneaky

Act afraid and you invite trouble.

Yes or No: If firearms were kept completely out of the hands of the people, would crimes like this not happen?

Yes or No: If muslims were kept completely out of this country, would crimes like this not happen?

Please define "assault weapon," as per standard dictionary or even ATF definitions.
