Jim, you can duplicate this feat by going to "View" on your browser tool bar and then going to "Text size." Internet explorer gives five options ranging from "smallest" to "largest."

Thanks Clint,,I was already aware of that. I also use the handicapped keyboard and settings also under Microsoft.
My keyboard is hyper-sensistive. Wife can't even use it cos she gets multiple letters when she does,,rapid fire in her hands,,,,,slow poke in mine.
I do know that the larger, flat screen monitor sure makes a big difference. The flat monitors are not too expensive these days, unless you go for the super thin ones,,,mine was $295.00 Canadian for a 19 inch.

Many thanks for that tip. Easiest to do yet, and it works.
Thanks to all for their concern. As for going completely blind, don't know how long it will be, if ever, but it is a very real possibility, and the eyes are failing from the effects of diabetes. These tips have helped extend my "online" lifespan though. I had thought I was done for on the board because of the small fonts the Board uses. Still wish they were larger, but I ain't the fellow in charge.

so happy to have been of help ... but as I said it was a tip picked up from a thread on the BB not mine originally. Worth passing on though. You do need a wheel mouse- I have 2 spare WHEEL "mice / mouses" Jim, and I will send you one over if you pm me your address, they were free with some Serif software I ordered. and I only got two hands :D so I don`t need 3 "mices".."mouses"
Gwyneth
ps what is the plural of computer-type mouse   in Tom and Jerry cartoons Tom / cat used to say meeses.. Also I`m very glad the little critters who live in my attic haven`t got wheels, they create enough chaos without them.... and I can`t catch them  they`ve eaten balls and balls of knitting wool I put up there for storage purposes.

Gwyneth, That is a very kind offer. I recently sent a parcel to Wales and it was a $9.00 Cdn (£5.) item and it cost me $22.00 (£10.) for postage. I can buy a new mouse for much less than that here.
Di loch yn fawr,
