Our local Chik-Fil-A only opened just over a month ago and is just the third on Long Island. Today they donated all of the food for a lunch for children from a local homeless shelter while we gave the kids gifts that were donated by people from the church. They sent two people dressed up as cows as well and took pictures with the kids and everything. They really are an amazing company with a heart for the community.

Love Chick-Fil-A - both the company and their food (but wish they'd bring back their wonderful cole slaw). You're right - they are an amazing company. Their founder was a long-time member of the local first Baptist church where I grew up.

My future son-in-law (they are not yet engaged but I've seen the ring) is working his way up in another one of our local CFAs and his ultimate goal is to own his own restaurant in the next few years. :)

When the wife and I would go, we'd each get combos, one with cole slaw and one with fries, and share.

But at least Bojangles started carrying a normal cole slaw. Good chicken, some good sides, but that vinegar cole slaw they had just didn't appeal to me.

Chicken and cole slaw just go together like peas and carrots. :Thumbsup
