Good for Dr Mohler!
"Ann Coulter has turned herself into the evil queen of mean. She has lowered herself to embarrassing theatrics and crude humor. More seriously, she clearly does not mean all insults as a joke. In a recent book, she attacked some 9/11 widows as publicity hounds. She has a tawdry record of cheap shots, crude slurs, and indefensible personal attacks.
Conservative institutions cannot afford any association with this kind of language or attack. The issues are far too serious to be treated in this manner, and the very convictions Ann Coulter often defends are now sullied by association with her.
Referring to John Edwards by using a word meant to demean homosexuals? What was she thinking? Ann Coulter has never been married. She has been known for once dating Bob Guccione, Jr., son of the Penthouse magazine magnate. John Edwards, on the other hand, has been married for almost thirty years to his wife, Elizabeth. Together they have had four children, Wade, Cate, Emma Claire, and Jack.
Wade died in a tragic car accident at age 16, throwing the Edwards family into a grief that often tears spouses apart. Their marriage not only survived the tragedy, but went on to produce Emma Claire and Jack. John Edwards stood by his wife through her more recent fight with breast cancer, and there has never been a scandal associated with their long marriage.
I oppose John Edwards' political platform, but not John Edwards the man, husband, and father. I do not want to see him elected President of the United States, but this has everything to do with his political positions, not his personal life. I do not appreciate his crude oversimplification of the challeges that face our nation, but I must oppose any crude talk about John Edwards the man." -SOURCE
Ann Coulter is not Christ like and should not be supported by any Christian or Christian organization.

She sure seems to be getting under your skin an awful lot lately. Relax. Dont pay any attention to her if you dont like her. Its people like you and the media who keep giving her all this attention. She thrives on shock. Besides she truly believes that the liberals are destrying this country and she fights fire with fire.

Maye this is Dr. Al's "witch hunt" and what he found?
I agree as to the cheap shots, even with having just taken one at Ann Coulter.
And, FTR, I am about as conservative as Ann Coulter ever thought of being, I assure you.

As much as I absolutely adore the downfall of Err America, far be it for me to tell brothers and sisters in Christ who they should support. (I feel we should support nothing, but missions to feed, clothe, heal & evangeliize, but that's still an opinion)
A statement like yours is just a small step to "people who read Ann Coulter aren't Christians".... -
Don't get me started on Ann Coulter! I tried to read her book, Godless, once, and I couldn't get past the fourth page! I was glad to return that to the library! YUK!

I hear more complaints from so-called conservatives here on Ann Coulter's remarks than I ever hear on Rosie ODonnells outrageous statements or Bill Maher's,or Don Imus',. How about this gem from Chris Rock:
CHRIS ROCK UNLEASHED: "USA 'READY FOR A RETARDED PRESIDENT, WHY WOULDN?T IT BE READY FOR AN AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT"?' -
-
As for Chris Rock, well, he is a comedian. Comedians are performers, actors, characters. To take anything they say too seriously is a mistake.
Ann Coulter is neither a comedian, performer, or entertainment talk show host.
Btw, I am not a "so-called" conservative I am an extreme conservative. I assure you I am more conservative than 95% of the conservatives who support Bush. I am more conservative than Jerry Falwell, D James Kennedy, James Dobson, and Paige Patterson put together.
Al Mohler is also a strong conservative. However I would say I am more conservative than he is in some ways.
Why do I say that about myself? Because I believe in a limited federal government. I'm not one of these conservatives who likes big government pushing conservative ideas. I never like big government. In this way I am a faithful Jeffersonian in that I believe that the government that governs the least governs the best. -
I find Ann Coulter embarrassing because people might think that what she says represents what I think. Heaven forbid! While I might agree with some of what she says, I would never say it that way. AND the general problem I have with political pundits is that they put forth what they think as though everyone remotely associated with them agrees with them. AGAIN - Heaven forbid!
On the comedians/singers/entertainers, I do wish they'd learn some discretion. When did we as a society start saying just any old thing that popped into our collective set of brains? -
grow up. -

Did any of you hear Ann on the Faux News Channel?

John Edwards didn't waste any time.

More evidence to suggest that Ann Coulter has seemingly lost her mind.

It is common for people to mix humor with serious comentary. This is what Ann does. She fits in a catigory with Dennis Miller, and Jon Stewart.
Ann just gets attacked for it becasue she does it so well and does it for the conservatives.
I like Ann, Dennis and Jon. A speach with serious points that is mixed in with humor is alot more interesting to me then just strate faced opinion.
Ps. One of the ways you can tell she is right, is because she is attacked for her style not her content. What she is saying is correct. -
Why did this not get the attention that Ann gets when she insults liberals.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6530925/ -
Dennis Miller and Jon Stewart are comedians, and are portrayed as such.
Perhaps you can comment on that to which Ann compared wishing someone a "Merry Christmas." It was found in the article entitled "Ann Coulter 2005." Show us where that was either humorous or insightful.

Hope all is well,

It got covered but did not get the negative attention. And it was alot ALOT more inflamitory and out of line then anything Ann has said.
