Wow! is this raiders of the lost ark stuff.
It would be interesting if the M$M covers it
over here.
I have been to Israel, last time in 1991 and
a lady I went with was close to this guy and
always updating us...I thought she was kinda
on the edge with bible numerology but I did not
condemn her.
We shall see how this goes
keep us updated. -
I have a question that has haunted me for years. 65 years to be exact. Most historians agree that the events of the bible took place on what was once known as the African continent and in the last hundred years an area calle the "Middle East". We also know that caucasions first appeared on that continent in the very early 1200's Keeping that in mind, ehy do Christians continue to depict Chrost and all of the other biblical men and women as white and not black? There are so many people in the world who stay away from Christianty because of what they say is hypocrisy. Portraying Christ as a white man and not dealing with the truth of his ethnicity seems to lend credence to this argument. U have even heard that if churches admit that Christ had to be a man of color, it would result in the bankruptcy of the church..Meaning that most who call themselves loving Christians could not and would not accept Christ as a black man.

Jesus of Nazareth was swarthy and very well tanned
perhaps darkly tanned...he was a journeyman fix it
up handy man and when his ministry started he did
a lot of sojourning.
imho
I think the scriptures wouild have used the word
nubian or ethopian desent if he had been purely
black.
but who knows from Marys side there could have
been a percentage ... from the Holy Spirit side
we know it to be "In Gods Image" or representing
every man.
we know Jesus was for all and represented all...we definitely need to push back and not
paint him so white...he was rugged and common...
but ultimaley special.
but its hard to support him as totally pure black
I just don't see it..perhaps somebody else does.
Aslanspal
you might want to start a topic on this
in christian discussion or theology areas -
First of all, Welcome to the BB . Secondly, Jesus is the Son of God and he is perfect in every way. It doesn't matter what color he is depicted as. I consider myself one of the "most" and it not an issue with me.

There is ofcourse the competing story that the ark is in Ethiopia.

"if Christ was a linebacker, you'd have a pretty hard time getting up after one of his tackles...." -
From the article:
"Armed with this and other blessings, Jones is now excited to uncover his life's pursuit. He believes the ark will be discovered by Tisha B'Av (Aug. 14), a day of repeated tragedy in Jewish history. Most notably, it is the anniversary of the destruction of both the First and Second Holy Temples."
If it doesn't happen by August 14, should this guy be written off as a false teacher or maybe just a crackpot?
I am saving this thread in my favorites so I can check back on it on August 14th. -
I'm pretty sure the thread will be closed by then, Ken, LOL.
-
I also have the website article in my favorites.
-
It is intriguing isn't it, Ken??? Like you many are waiting (I am sure) for this man to fail. Every time there is an adventure raised in Biblical Archeology, I remain hopeful. I don't want this man to fail. I want the Ark of the Covenent to be found and then to watch what unfolds thereafter. We do live in extraordinary times.
-
I am concerned that if something like the Ark of the Covenant or Noah's Ark was actually found that it would become an idol, even, I am afraid, to some Christians.
-
That is certainly a great possibility.

Try this site:
Discovered Biblical Artifacts
This man, who is now dead, claims to have located Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant, the tomb of Christ, the real Mt. Sinai, and the Red Sea crossing used by the Israelis.
He's even got pictures, and I must say that I am a little shocked by them.
It makes me want to go site seeing in the Holy Land.
Even if none of it is true, it is still neat to see all of this stuff. -
Well, August 14th, came and went. I guess the dispensationalists are crying today that they have been disappointed once again.
-
Kabbalists and the cult of Noahides that this guy belongs to have nothing to do with dispensationalism.
Please explain. -
Really.

I've never been called a "giddy" dispensationalist before. But then again, the Rapture is something to be giddy about, LOL. Hallelujah!
