Yes - one should fight against a law that promotes the spread of AIDS.
So you are in favor of promiscuity?
You are in favor of spreading AIDS?
DHK - are you thinking even the slightest before posting? -
The situation in India is that Hindus are persecuting Christians. I didn't know that you considered Hindus as Protestants, but seeing that the Hindu faith and the Catholic faith are so much alike in so many areas I can see your confusion.
The truth is that Xavier ordered a crusade.
That is mass murder, whether or not his little hands carried out the actual work or not. -
DHK - what would you do if someone entered your church and jumped into the baptismal pool during a baptism and started jumping up and down and splashing around and yelling "Toga party!!"
What would you do if a non-believer came into your church during the Lord's Supper and declared it to be an open bar and demanded another round of drinks?
How would you respond to that? -
We all know that without protection AIDS and other STD's spread like rapid fire. But the Catholic Church is against protection which is foolishness. We live in a sinful promiscuous world whether we want to admit to it or not. One of the plagues of some countries in Africa is AIDS. Why? Because they don't believe in protection. Because they do believe in promiscuity and polygamy. We do not live in a born-again Christian world.
For the record:
I am not in favor of promiscuity.
I am not in favor of abortion.
But I am in favor of families having the choice to use what contraceptives they deem appropriate for their own needs. And the church (in this case the church-state Catholic Taliban-government) has no business in the bedrooms of the family. It is their choice, not the Bishop's. -
The 'ignorant comment' is un-called for. Personal attack not appreciated! -
-
The Catholic Church in the Philippines is exercising their political right to oppose a proposed bill that would have the government encouraging the use of contraceptives.
The people of the Philippines will not be denied contraceptives if this bill does not pass.
You need to get a grip DHK - you are sounding shrill and ridiculous. -
And you know that the Catholics did not try this first with their service disturbing protestor?
And if they did - no doubt you would be calling them boot jack thugs. -
What is ambivalent in this statement?
And then follows all the methods of torture that were inflicted upon the Hindus because of Xavier. He was a mass murderer. -
Cerdon was just one person. One person and that was all. Was it needful for him to spend all that time in jail? Only the Catholic Taliban would deem that to be a needful act. -

He was dead at least seven years before any such inquisition in India began. How did he murder anyone if he was dead?
Also, please read the beginning of the article. It clearly talks about present day Christian marauders forcing conversions. These Christian Marauders just happen to be Protestants, not Catholics. -
Is that good testimony?
A whole church full of strong men to man handle one person swimming in the batismal pool?
Would they exercise the same level of love and compassion that you are showing in this discussion? -

DHK: Try again. Read slowly!
From the article YOU provided:
"According to Christian historian, Dr. T. R. De Souza the proselytizing and militant Christian agencies like World Vision, Seventh Day Adventist Groups and various other missionary organizations in INDIA fully backed by unrestricted flow of cash from America and Europe, are engaged in illegal conversions ,fully supported by the anti-Hindu Sonia’s UPA Government in New Delhi since it came in power. These Christian marauders, very much like the Talibans of Afganisthan, beat Hindus to death for their refusal to convert to Christianity. Residents of Parmanpur village in Buxar District in Orissa have complained to the local public authorities that Christian missionaries are luring them to convert and threatening them with violence if they don’t obey.
According to Anjoriya Devi, her husband was beaten to death in her village in Buxar District by goons hired by missionaries. She says ‘They beat up my husband when he refused to convert to Christianity. They have threatened me too’.
Mithilesh Kumar, another resident of the same village, has alleged that the missionaries tried to lure him by offering him a job. They told me ‘If I remain a Hindu, I will remain unemployed and poor. I would have money and a job only if I am converted to Christianity’. Stories like these are numerous."
This is going on NOW not by Catholics but by Protestants. I'm sure if you actually had read anything except comments about the attrocities attributed to Catholics, you would NEVER have posted this. Your bais over rides everything, including the truth that Protestants are beating Hindus to death if they refuse to convert. -
DHK - I don't know what "freedom of expression" means in your neck of the woods - but in mine it does not mean that you have freedom to use my micrphone to express your feelings - you have to get your own.
By doing this in the church during services this character was violating the rights of everyone else that was there to exercise their right to religious freedom.
How does this one person's right to expression over ride the rights of many people in their church?
Why wasn't this done outside? At a rally? On TV? -
'They told me ‘If I remain a Hindu, I will remain unemployed and poor. I would have money and a job only if I am converted to Christianity’.'
WOW, DHK, you guys really have compassion for the poor, don't you? What a treat for Jesus!!
Don't you see how hypocritical you are?? You complain about past attrocities committed by Catholics and ignore attrocities committed by present day missionaries, fundamentalists like yourself. -
Did you read the part in the article that likened the protestant missionaries to the TALIBAN in Afghanistan? Yet you have start of thread accusing the Catholic Church of Taliban like tactics. Apparently you evangelicals ARE acting like Taliban in India today. How SAD, how very un-Chrisrtian.
You provided the link and will surely not forget it when you and people like 'Bob' posts all the garbage from your 'revisionists' history of the Catholic Church.
