Wow, the thread, Personal attacks close a thread sure got closed fast. If the stated reason was the real reason, that being it was in the wrong subject thread field, then a whole host of other threads I have followed in the past year or so should have been shut down quickly also.
Oh well, moderators discretion I guess. :tonofbricks:

We wouldn't want anyone to question the reasons of simple things like staying within the rules.... -
That depends on who is being attacked.
Cheers,
Jim -
Some kids are not ready to drive. Daddy needs to take the T-Bird away!
-
Didn't take my T-bird away, just deflated four tyres and took away my air pump.
Cheers,
Jim -
Oh, cry me a bucket already.

You can find the agreement that you all signed when you joined, under the Posting Rules.

This thread is threadbare.

If the owner of this board don't want healthy debate from both sides without a bias moderator clipping and cutting, then maybe he should close the debate forum and only have general discussion forums. -
It is rather ironic that we get noted for off statements, when one reads all the vulgar statements made about Mr. Obama stand out in the moderator's own posts. I don't get it, and I couldn't care less about American politics.
Cheers,
Jim -
It helps to remember that just because you cannot see personal attacks on a closed thread does not mean they are not there - those posts are deleted and members can no longer see them, but other moderators and administrators can still see them in the software.
Personal attacks and innuendoes against other members have been and will continue to be deleted, snipped, and/or the thread closed on the Politics and News forums.
It is a privilege to post here, not a right, and everyone has signed agreeing to the board rules when they joined. I have wondered if a paid membership to the BB might be a good idea. People might think twice about what they post if they stand a chance to lose some money when they are suspended or banned for disregarding the rules......

You forget, LE, how cheap people like me are.

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

You guys are complaining about the closing of a moderator-bashing thread in the NEWS forum ?
 -
I am not the moderator of this forum, but if I were I would close it right away.
There are debate forums and discussion forums.
The moderators and administration are not up for debate or discussion.
This is a discussion forum for fellowship, not a complaint forum.
In fact I don't see any forum on this board labeled "Complaint Forum."
If you have one you ought to be pm'ing the one with whom you have a complaint, not airing out your dirty laundry in public.
Does not the Bible say: If you have ought against your brother/sister, go to him (in private). What is being done here is not Scriptural, and is against the rules.
What rules.
It is not showing grace to others.
