Now, Tater, you're not getting by with that. What's the name? I wanna watch it too!

    Evening all,

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I'm trying to get the living room painted so I can put up Christmas decorations and then start baking my Christmas cookies.

I'm SO far behind on Christmas this year. I have done absolutely NO shopping and I'm usually done. I haven't made any cards and I'm usually done. I haven't done any decorating and I'm usually done. I haven't etc., etc., etc.!!!

My rooms are taking so long because I'm painting all the woodwork a different color than the walls. Trimming like that takes foreverrrrrrrrrr.

    It's bedtime for me now.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, when you are finished, you'll have to post before and after pics. I love having my trim a different color from the walls and always paint this way. One thing I do is to paint walls first, trim last and instead of taping (which often pulls the new paint off the walls :( ) is to use a wide plaster knife (the one I use is about 10" long) when painting the straight edges in the corners where trim meets wall. The knife goes where the tape would go, moving down the trim as you do. Paint carefully as the knife is a safety and you don't want paint building up on it and seeping underneath.

I wish I were brave enough to paint my entire house in one year. :applause: I'm not brave enough to paint one room in two years!

Ya'll, seems like I am finding quite a few things that need doing besides sitting at the computer so you all may not be seeing much of me for a while. Eventually, I believe things will settle back into a more sedate pace and I'll post more, but for right now, I gotta do what needs doing!

    Ya'll have a good day(week, month....)!

Good morning everyone! I brought in Holiday Morning French Toast Casserole, bacon and sausage, fruit and the coffee and tea are set. MIL brought a TON of apples on Thanksgiving and I'm trying to get rid of them! LOL!

Today will be a quiet day around here. Homeschooling, chores, laundry, etc. After school, I'm going to take my oldest for a possible eye exam and see about getting her new lenses for her glasses. She needs them badly!

Old Starr is fine. It turns out he had bad feed and this horse is part bloodhound and VERY picky. He KNEW that feed was bad and he wouldn't touch it. Now Whirl, on the other hand, would have gobbled the whole thing down without a thought - and died! Goodness!!

OH - I went to bring dinner to a friend last night who FINALLY has her baby home! He was born June 26th at 27 weeks and weighed just 1 lb. 5 oz. He's now 8 lbs. 2 oz. and is doing pretty well! He's taking a bottle relatively well but he's still on oxygen and a lot of meds. He came home Friday and I brought over homemade chicken pot pie, salad and ice cream. She looked tired and the house looks like a hospital but he's home. Pray that little Charles continues to grow and do well. :)

Have a wonderful day everyone! It's chilly here but it looks gorgeous outside. I think I'll get the little ones out into the yard today to clean up a bit and to get some fresh air. ;)

    Evening all,
I am just dropping in for a moment. I am sleepy. I had 16 kiddos at work today after all was said and done. I hardly slowed down. We got two new ones this week and a couple of them had been gone for a few weeks so it is like having to reteach all of them the rules. Two of my boys are going thru some big adjustments so if you all would pray for T and L; I would appreciate it. One of them is leaving to go be with mom as soon as she gets here on the 8th. He went and saw her Thanksgiving when she got back stateside. She has been in Iraq. The other has been in a new foster home for a week now. Both are doing pretty good.
I had better go, one of the neices and her brother are here and they are arguing over everything. Time to go break up the fights!
    Y'all have a good day!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

It is 27 degrees and windy here. Our snow is all gone, but more is expected Friday thru the weekend.

Cuz: But how are we going to survive without your imput about life? As task-oriented as you are your projects will be done in no time.

Ann: Sorry I misunderstood about your clogs. I see my Wife and Daughter wearing those all the time. NICE PIC btw.

Sue: I just wonder what your next "project" is going to be after you repaint the interior of your entire house?

Still haven't heard anything more about the house. The sellers were supposedly so eager to sell it, and we haven't heard anything for almost two weeks now. Our Realtor says that our ofer is still at the seller's bank. Banks are like the government: if they want something they give you a date to have it to them by, but; if you need something from them you're left blowin' in the wind.

The Christian Campground that we camp at has a Live Nativity every Christmas season. We're going tomorrow night with two other couples. After the Live Nativity we're going to the home of one of the couples for Tacos.

Saturday night we're going to Spring Arbor University[ about 10 miles from us], they have a Christmas program and candlight tour of their campus. They have a fantastic program in the Free Methodist Church on their campus.

Other than that not too much going on.

    Good afternoon all!

I'm way ahead of you, Rob.

    1) Clean out the basement and paint it.

    2) Remove the window and trim from the window in the living room I closed off.

    3) Build and paint bookshelves for window opening.

    4) Landscape the lawn and tend to the flower beds that were neglected this year.

By the time I get done with #1, #2, and #3...it will be time for #4.

I've got to get back to making my Christmas cards. I stayed up until after 3:00 this morning and finished 60 of them. I still have a long way to go...

I'm grabbing a Coke Zero while I'm here.

    Have a good day all!

I'm home right now with a rambunctious 3 year old in addition to my own 2 little ones. A friend of mine got a call this morning that they found her father dead in his apartment in England. :( She's home with a 13 week old trying to figure out what happened (they'll have to do an autopsy) and how to get the baby's passport pushed through even faster than the expidited that they went to get. They don't even have his birth certificate because they sent it in. I feel so badly for her - and she's so stressed right now so she sent her son here so she can get some things done. He's VERY active (my kids sat to watch a video and he just ran in circles- YIKES) and I think that she's just exhausted from him right now. :( If you could think to pray for Suzie, I'd appreciate it.

Other than that, I'm supposed to ride but I'm just looking and I think it's raining. We'll see what it's doing later when I go down at 3:30. I have Cranberry Ginger Pork Roast in the crockpot and will serve it with rice and broccoli. Yum!

Sue:My question is what do you do in your "free time"? Collapse?

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 32 degrees and windy here. We have a Winter Storm Advisory from Saturday am to Sunday am.

Not much going on here. We're going to put up our Christmas tree tonight. That should keep the Grandkids entertained for awhile.

I brought in Crisp and Creamy Baked Chicken, Cheddar Biscuits, Roasted Vegetables, and Rocky Road No-Bake Cheesecake for dessert. Enjoy.

Now I have to make room in the living room for the Christmas Tree.

Good morning all! It's been awhile -- I can see no one has been BORED!

Neither have we! But it's fun and challenging and right now I am here while my hair is damp drying under a towel so blow drying it will take a shorter time. This way I can sneak in another cuppa tea and piece of toast...

All is well here on the western front. It's cold, but no snow on the valley floor yet, for which I'm grateful. Everything but some work for Barry and cleaning up the desk here is caught up, so that feels REALLY good. Oh, I do want to wash curtains this month or next, but that's not pressing. For me it's a once a year job AFTER the summer and autumn dust and pollen and such.

Ann, Cameo refused to touch her feed one time, too, for the same reason, God bless her! It was spoiled.

Vet was here to do the quarterly check on the gang Tuesday night and we had her for dinner, too, which was fun. She is an outstanding vet, and loves the animals. Silly lady spent fifteen minutes just playing with the goats, with Barry and me almost in tears laughing. Cameo and Papa, our two ancient ones, have hearts that are not lub-lubbing quite as solidly as before, but as the good doc said, "You two going to live forever or WHAT?" Pain in Star's leg is bad and we are considering narcotics. She's only 16! Teddy, the dwarf mini is going strong, against all expectations, and Cookie (the one you named, Ann) is now a spoiled brat and doing very, VERY well physically. We need to get on her and get manners back into her, though!

Sue, about the house -- you really got going, didn't you? That is AMAZING! Way to go, lady!

OK, time for hair to be dried. Have guests in 45 minutes. God bless you all.

I brought in Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits and put them on Cindi's kitchen table, but she rushed out without giving it a second look. :saint:

Guess I should have taken it over to Tanya's instead.

It was close to noon when I posted, so I brought in lunch to the coffeehouse.

Aren't they amazing? Whirl would have munched away and enjoyed every bite.

Awww - I'm sorry for Star. I'd do the drugs if he needs it. Poor guy! Whirl's leg still causes some problems (mostly when I first ride him) but it's not terrible yet. We put him on glucosamine and hopefully that will help him for now. He's just 13 so we have a LOT of years with him.

So I'm up at church. I have the service done and am now sitting here downloading some more graphics. It's a job that takes a few hours. In the meantime, DH's working on the PA system - so I've had tone generators, lots of worship and other fun AND icky sounds going on here.

Joanna (4) looks like she's got an abcessed tooth so I guess I'll be going to the dentist tomorrow. The big girls will be in the city with the youth group and Bob will take Robby to swimming so we'll have time to go, which will be good. Poor girl actually has a fever - but has been here at church since 9:30 AM and has been so good. :) Uh-oh- spoke too soon..... OK - Jo was spinning, Robby tried to stop her and he bumped his nose ... now it's bleeding. I'll see ya'll later!

    Morning all,
I had fixed some cinnamon rolls to share but the kiddos got them all so I brought in some biscuits and fresh fruit. There is butter and jelly in the fridge. I can't stay too long, two of the neices are dancing downtown at the Centennial celebration so we need to get ready to leave pretty quick! Lunch is pizza-I'll try to bring some in later. Y'all have a good weekend.

That abcess I though Joanna had? Yep - it was there and BAD. The tooth had to come out. SIGH. Poor kid - but she was SOOOO good. I went in after she was done and she just had a little tear in here eye. (I stood outside the door watching). She's amazing - AND the tooth had big roots so it didn't give up easily.

Now I'm off to drive the girls to the train station for them to go into the city. Then I told Jo that we'd get McDonalds. :)

So we had our first snow today!! Yea!! Right now I'm snuggled in the warm den with a fire going right next to me. The kids are watching the Christmas musical from church 3 years ago. Bob is in the city with the college kids. It's a nice day!

Joanna is doing good with her mouth. She went to bed last night fine but was crying a few minutes later. Turns out she doesn't want the tooth fairy to take her tooth so we took it out from under her pillow and put it on the nightstand. Awww. Poor kid! She was kind of traumatized I guess!!

I left cinnamon muffins on the counter with apple butter in the fridge. I grabbed an old cup of coffee and set up a new pot. :) Enjoy!
