Helen's mother passed away suddenly yesterday morning.

There is a sympathy card started for her in the Private Member's Forum if you would like to sign it.

OK, something really funny for you to figure out. I have just wrapped Rob's pressie and written out his card. Now I can't find the envelope for the card.
Sheila...maybe you need to clean off your desk!! Trust me, it works wonders!! :D

Looks like the other "hot topic" of the day is...sorry, I just can't bring myself to comment on Jim's bathing habits.

C.J., Jim1999 was so concerned why the joint hasn't been hopping so I had to break it to him! LOL.

Wonder what Blackbird preached on today? Wish he were MY preacher. We had another visiting preacher from the SBC today and the guy was really good but you can't beat having a Pastor! I sure miss Bro. Alan even tho I really love Bro. Jack and Bro. Jon.

Church was PACKED! Second service may have had 3 empty seats! First service had to be pretty full because I had a hard time finding a parking place for Sunday School. I had 7 in my class. One fussed and whined for the first 10 minutes but he crawled into my lap and rubbed his runny nose all over my shoulder and felt much better. LOL

Blackbird preached on Judas today. He posted it early this morning. Sounded like a good sermon. I thought he might stop in and tell us how it went, but.........

Hmmm... Interesting. E.J. Daniels said 'Judas kissed heaven's door and went to hell'. That would make a good discussion. Blackbird ought to start it for us. I honestly wonder if Judas repented and is in heaven or if he was a true follower EVER.

Well, now that everyone has gone nighty-night, I can slip into the fridge and make a sandwich!

Great day today and sitting in the audience to listen to my son preach was a great ending to time away.

Glorious fall day. Only about 62F, but sunshine, brilliant fall, son lives right at the base of the mountains so the scenery was outstinkingstanding.

Drive home (2 hours, all I-25) was a challenge as this is hunting season and a LOT of animal - mostly mule deer and elk and of course antelope (which outnumber people out here) - were out along the roads. Brake lights ahead or someone flashing high beams indicates herds moving through the Crazy Woman basin or along the middle fork of the Powder River.

Obviously home safely (my trousers can be laundered from those close calls) and relaxing here in the coffee shop.

Well, sandwich time. Liverwurst and peanut butter is a favorite. (Think I'll start a poll on favorite sandwiches). Umm umm good.

Sure, should have figured that SOMEBODY would be lurking in the shadows!

I'd share my samwich with you, but not sure liverwurst and peanut butter is a favorite with you! :D

liverwurst. I used to eat that stuff. I am not at all
sure why now. is it made of liver, really? What

In college/seminary I worked two summers at Schweigert Meats. It was a revelation. I cleaned out the machines that made many of the hot dogs, sausages, lunchmeats, etc.

Liverwurst was made in a huge pressure cooker (you climbed inside to clean it). 100# of cow livers; 100# of cow stomachs; 200# of trimmed fat. Cook under pressure for 12 hours. Add spices. Emulsify into a diarrhea-looking liquid (also cleaned that machine), and pump into sausage tubes. Smoke 'em if you have 'em (a little naval humor) at high heat for another 12 hours. Rinse and chill.

It took 25 years before I could eat the stuff again.

Maybe it should have taken longer.

Wow! So it is equal meat to fat? Amazing. I
wonder how many other things we eat has that fat
ratio!

It's a Canadian Holiday. I am locking the doors and drawing the blinds, knock if ye will, but I can't be found.

To-day, I am out looking for the ninety and nine because the one what was lost is ok afterall. It is the ninety and nine in the fold I'm worried about cos they think they are ok.

"Lord, are there few that be saved?"

Cheers,

Jim

Good Morning Everyone
Rob loved his picture. He is delighted with it. I told him about the mysterious missing envelope and he just laughed as I said he would.

I will try and look in later. Birthday Boy wants to go to uni to get books for his essay    (OK no comment)

I will have to see if I can liven things up a bit as he has church meeting tonight

I hope you all have a good day. It is dull and wet here.

God Bless you all
Sheila
