LOL Jim! People keep saying 'you're as young as you feel' but my question is... what if you feel 85 when you try to get out of bed in the morning but feel 17 later in the afternoon. Do you add and average to figure out your age?

Ever wonder if we'll all be the same 'age' in heaven? I think we'll all be little kids! All God's Children say AMEN!

In glory, we will be our best age, whatever that may be. We will be in the best place at the best time with the best people and the Lord will lead the way. What more can we ask?

Cheers,

Jim

I have returned! It is nasty out there this morning! Overcast, rainy, windy, wet leaves blowing off the trees and smacking you in the face.

I wore purple sweats, a turquoise raincoat and an orange and yellow 'crossing' vest. Hey! When the visability is bad, I want them to SEE me when I walk out in the middle of that street! :D

Gonna grab a bite of breakfast, will be back in a few...

Dan, Do you work on all the bridges in Northern New York? I see they are going to rebuild a bridge on 81 at Watertown.

Cheers,

Jim

Quiet in here today!

I am off to work and then to the eye doctor for my yearly eye exam. (I wouldn't go every year, but they won't give me my contacts if I don't) :(

I don't like it when they squirt that air into my eyes. I know it's coming and I still flinch!

See you all in a couple of hours.

TTFN!

Dan
I liked it up until you said the same bowl. And you should try the yellow packets (Splenda)--"it's made from real sugar, so it tastes like sugar"--I've found the aftertaste isn't as bad as NutraSweet's is (and thousands of times better than Sweet 'n' Low's!). I can still tell it's not sugar, though; maybe I'll try stevia.*

*I was surprised at how sweet Fiber One was, and even more surprised to see aspartame in the ingredients. I hadn't noticed its usual aftertaste.

Splenda is the only sugar sustitute to use for cooking and baking. There is no aftertaste, but there is with the other substitutes under heat. Perhaps this is why the others leave that dryness of mouth.

I use sweet'n'low for most beverages, but always Splenda for cooking.

Maybe I am just used to it.

Cheers,

Jim

PS. Diabetics are supposed to obtain the doctor's approval for whatever substitute is used to ensure no drug reactions.

Well, boy howdy, I'm finally getting a minute to say "Hey" to you all. Can't imagine sugar-free ANYTHING Jim, but then couldn't imagine fat-free just a year ago and now I is one!

Another busy day with lots of odds and ends to do. Trying to get all the ducks in a row so we can leave when word comes that the next grandbaby is coming.

So it's nearly 5 pm and I still haven't had lunch! Maybe a bowl of cereal will tide me over until dinner at 8. Or maybe will eat my salad now . . we make up 3 days worth in tupperware since we have to use special fruit/vegetable rinse on the romaine.

Had fun making a couple of polls though. And my email time is "0" since my domain is hacked and not functioning yet. Grrrrr.

Most of you know me quite well, how many of you would say I am a liberal?
I consider myself very conserative, and think liberal and christian do not even belong in the same sentence since liberals deny scripture, but I've been accused of being a liberal, and to me thats about as bad as it gets. Thats about the worst most offensive thing you could call me.

You know, this is only an internet message board, I don't need this from anyone. And I don't have to take it either.

Not to worry, Donna...I have been called liberal too. Frankly, given the source, I count it an honour. Not all liberals deny the scriptures, and many are falsely labelled.

Cheers,

Jim

My eyes haven't changed since last year (that's good).

I came home and grilled steak for supper with salad and brocolli/cauliflower mix.

Will check in later...

DonnA, Please don't be concerned about labels, such as liberal. You stand strong in your faith and you know what you believe. I always look forward to your posts.

God Bless You,

Betty

MAde stroganoff for supper and waiting for the wife to come home (it's past 7:30). But boiling the egg noodles and YUKKK up to the top floats two dead bugs.

Little, like a nail clipping, but bugs. THREW IT ALL OUT.

Paranoia are us.

Got potatoes in the steamer and hope the wife's running late!
