Just a quick hello. It is partly cloudy and about 45F here this morning. Nice day in my mind.

Have a great day in church today!

Evening all. Praying for our brethren (and sistern) in Europe in their services right now.

Already busy and bustling with a houseful. Son and family made it in late afternoon. Heavy thunderstorm (unusual for Casper but NEEDED). Invited my other son and his family and my wife's mom for hot dog roast and ice cream cones.

Then more rain. Sat inside and visited all evening and then son had to run to WallyWorld to get a wireless card for his computer and another squall line ran through. So we went at midnight and got soaked and had fun.

Family is a real special blessing.

Hey Poncho - glad to see you're hooked back up!

I understand that your move was from a higher level to a lower level - are you telling us that you're getting old?

    Good morning all:

Brent and I had a miserable night - not much sleep. I'm beginning to think that, along with allergies, we both contracted a nasty 'summer cold'.

Stuffy heads with runny noses! I am coughing much worse than Brent, but he is sneezing much worse than I am. Between the two of us, we went through a whole box of Kleenex last night!

We will be staying home this morning and Grandpa will be going to church alone on Father's Day. We were going to take him out for dinner, but alas, I will be cooking for him.

It could be the change in weather that did it. We have had C/A running because it has been so hot. We shut it off two days ago and right now it is 49ºF!!!

Sending Grandpa to Walgreens for some OTC meds when he wakes up...

Happy Father's Day to all Dads and Grandpas!

Morning Sue and sorry to hear about the sniffles.

We had a great day in church today looking at glorying in the cross.

It was a personal encouragement to me as we had 15 in church this morning. We are looking for a building now so join us in prayer for that if you would.

    Aww -sends hugs to sue-

those rapid changes in tempratures can be a drag. They tend to make people sick who are not prepared for them. I know it's about 56 degrees here this morning and I was cuddles up to my wonderful hubby most of the night.

Good morning to everyone. I hope that your Sunday will bring penty or reflection and rest, And Your Fathers day will be wonderful. It's such a beautiful day. (then, again I would say that even if it was raining

Roger: What GREAT news! And how exciting to have grown to the point of needing a building!

Lea: Thanks for the hugs! My main concerns are (1) when I 'catch' a cold - it usually turns into a severe bout of Bronchitis and (2) I'm sure it is hard on Brent (10) to be sick 350 miles from home...

    Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Rushing out to church and then to deliver Yellow Pages but HAD to share this that came in my mail today!

    Pick Thee Me Up

That's another one of Josees' expressions.

    Josees is my two-year-old son.

He doesn't have perfect syntax. Even that simple statement requires an ear trained in babyonics to understand.

    Pick thee me up!

He says it as he stands in front of me with his outstretched arms and a pleading in his eyes and voice.

    Pick thee me up!
    Pick thee me up!
    Pick thee me up!

Over and over he pleads until sooner or later he's picked up, giving both of us relief.

He is smart enough to recognize the father. He is smart enough to know that the father can lift him out of his situation. He is smart enough to keep pleading until his plea is heard.

Whenever he is frustrated, whenever he is afraid, whenever he feels alone, whenever he needs rest, whenever he needs, he asks the father to "Pick thee me up."

It is a lesson that we all would do well to learn, for we all have a heavenly father.

We all, sooner or later need to call upon him.

We all need to say. . .

    Pick thee me up!

Josees was named after Joses, the brother of Jesus.

There were times when Jesus had to call on his father, and say,
    "Pick thee me up."

    So will you.

(1 Cor 6:14) And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

    Pick Thee Me Up

    Good morning everyone!

Daughter has gone home now, back to Florida, but granddaughters are still here. This is the first time the 5 year old has been away from momma. Daughter may be a little off when we tell her "no problems".

Father's Day! I found a lovely sugar-free lemon marangue pie in the refrigerator with a huge sign on it: "For Dad!". Lovely. What more can a man ask for? (The local shop bakes goods in store and bakes sugar-free items especially for the diabetics in the village.)

Happy day to all dad's, and a special day to remember our Father.

    Cheers,

    Jim

BOY HOWDY from lovely 48F, sunshine streaming in every window and "God washed the world last night" type of freshness in the air.

Can hardly wait for church - only week I'm NOT out preaching, so get to take my grandkids to our home church and "show them off".

Good to hear Roger had a great service and will wait for others' reports. And lemon pie in the icebox, Jim? Wow.

My wife has homemade cinnamon rolls hot from the oven and I MAY get one -- if my frail son (310#) and grandsons leave me any!

Since Brent and I had to stay home from church, I will be cooking hubby's favorite menu for his Father's Day Dinner.

    Grilled Steak
    Steak Fries
    Tossed Salad
    Garlic Bread
    Strawberry Shortcake

    Cyal,
§ue (have to bake the shortcake now)

    Awfully quiet around here today.

I think I'll head off to bed. Good night all.

Sorry I missed you. Just got back for a great Father's Day at my son Jeremiah. Son Joshua and his family too. Wow. Such fun and joy and special time together.

We have always been a close family (we traveled together, home schooled) and just don't realize how much we MISS each other.

    Pictures to follow . . .

Brent is feeling much better after taking 'Children's Tylenol Allergy' medicine. I will give him another dose at bedtime.

Grandpa will win the prize, at church tonight, for having the most grandchildren (25) for both of us together!

I am going to watch a movie with Brent so we can both be settled down and (hopefully) not coughing at bedtime.

Have a good evening and pleasant dreams all,

Well we're home from delivering books but still have some to go. Had to make phone calls to find some roads in the boonies!

We'll be able to finish tomorrow I believe! Just have to drive quite a distance to reach some subdivisions in never never land and try to enter a gated community where we have 2 condo units.

This is the hardest $200. I've ever earned.

Got 2 loads of laundry in and the dishes going. Sorry no time to answer pm's but I'm fine, just REALLY tired and my knee is hurting very badly from the standard transmission!

Great day at church. I preached a Father's Day sermon - based on Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

    See you all tomorrow!

    Good minoring all!

A cool (7C) morning here with a few clouds. Gonna put the kettle on here in a minute.

Been praying you would make the deadline on the phone books Diane. Can you take a break after today?

Did I tell you I love my broadband? I am listening to Erwin Lutzer and downloaded my pastor's (in Alabama) message from yesterday to listen to today!

Grandkids are in bed and veggietales are off. THANK GOD on both counts!

Good time to visit and we are all making sandwiches and will be up a while chatting. Man, I love my family!
