Good Morning all, I hope everyone is having a great day. It is an overcast day here in the Ozarks.

Currently there are 7 females in my house (wife, 4 daughters, mothernlaw, and sisternlaw)soooo needless to say I will be spending some extra time in the office this week. They came in to see the new baby and help my wife. They will be here through Saturday.

They got up early and took all the girls into Sears to get new pictures done.

JAB, ahhh it is not too bad. I am pretty used to it. I just hide out in the back room with the computer and TV, and let them have the run of the rest of the house My wife came in once and asked me, "Why are you hiding back here?" And I graciously replied, "Honey, there are 7 females in this house and me, and you have to ask WHY I am hiding?"

Boy Howdy from cool, sunny Wyoming. God is good and I was able to sleep some. Got a new wrap for the legs/feet in the mail and can hardly wait.

    Anyone heard of Farabloc?

From the agonizing phantom pains of an amputee, arose Farabloc, the unique pain management solution for amputation related phantom pain. Now, this drug free pain relief treatment used by amputation survivors worldwide has also been proven effective in treating back pain, sport injuries and muscle related pain and stiffness!

Farabloc is an effective drug free choice, and an inexpensive alternative to conventional therapeutic measures and chemical remedies. Farabloc products are manufactured in a wide variety of flexible forms and sizes, which can be applied to virtually any affected part of the body.

Farabloc evolved from primary research on phantom limb pain (also known as phantom limb syndrome) as a result of amputation. Now distinguished researchers in Europe and North America have demonstrated the effectiveness of this revolutionary product to ease back pain and sports injury related muscle pain, including profound neuropathy.

Farabloc is an easy to use, drug free alternative to the side effects of expensive and intrusive painkillers and other narcotics.

Farabloc consists of a series of ultra thin steel fibres woven into a nylon fabric, which is custom made into wraps or garments, such as socks, gloves, jackets, blankets and limb covers for the amputated area. These garments are then placed over the painful area. Irritating high frequency radiation is blocked, allowing soothing low frequency waves to pass through.

Got a lap-blanket sized piece (about thickness of a regular sheet) and will try it.

Dr. Bob, a front page story yesterday in our little local paper spoke of a 5 year old boy with Jr. Rhematoid Arthritis. He wakes his family several times a night because of the pain in his legs. I wonder if this might help him??

I will give a report in a couple days. Folks with my type of pain sleep with it.

Every bit of relief is appreciated. http://www.farabloc.com/

Thanks Dr. Bob. I'm going to send the link to the reporter who did the story. It said the pain was caused from him being 'still' and the parents had to massage his legs to help with the pain. I'll watch for your report.

"Irritating high frequency radiation is blocked, allowing soothing low frequency waves to pass through."

Exactly what "radiation" are we talking about here? Sounds like "copper bracelet" or "magnet" theory to me.

Seriously, I too have morning leg pain due to arthritis, so if something really worked....
But I don't understand what this product is actually supposed to be doing.

Dr. Bob...definitely keep us informed. I have had arthritis in my back and legs ever since I was a small child. I walk with a cane and need a hip and knee replacement, but that's not going to happen ANYTIME near soon if I can help it! So, needless to say, I am definitely interested.

Who wants to come over to my place this weekend and have a nice, quiet Baptist party? :D

You can all come, even you if you don't like cats. But you have to be good. And you might have to bring some food . . . I can't feed all of you, lol.

    Who's on?

    Good Afternoon ya'll!

I'm not accomplishing very much today! Too much running around to do.

Precious went to the ENT yesterday and was told that her biggest problem right now was not her allergy attack, but that the arteries in her neck were inflamed. :( Doc says no one know exactly what causes it, but Precious got a shot and a round of steroids to take to try to get rid of it. She has to go back in a week for a recheck. She is still home from school today, but seems to feel a little better this PM.

The school where Precious attends likes to complain about the kids missing to many days. They send home nasty, intimidating notes and/or call after a kid has been out for a few days in a row. I got the nasty after Precious was out with her ears a few weeks back. My sister is constantly battling them over her son's absences(he has a couple of chronic conditions). Today when they couldn't get me cause I was out getting medicine they made the mistake of calling Sis and asking not only about her son but out Precious as well.(not to sure how they made the connection since we're not really sisters)

By the time she got through with them, they didn't want to talk to me. I think she told them a mouthful! I called them back just to be sure they had all the info they needed and to assure them that I had the proper doctor's excuses and they were just soooooo polite. They may be tired of me and sis by the time we both get our sick kids back to school. The primary cause of both their illnesses can be traced back to the school and issues that the school refuses to recognize or deal with. And then they want to give us a hard time because our kids aren't at school.

Speaking of sickness, Diane I hope you are keeping your hands washed! Pinkeye spreads like wildfire. Poor Ty needs an antibiotic eyedrop. His mom will probably have to drag him back to the doctor to get it. I'm sure she'll be thrilled. But if she didn't I wouldn't keep him. Pink eye is a pain in the neck, even worse if you wear contact lenses.

Dr. Bob, the farabloc thing is interesting. Keep us updated.

Margo, whereever did you get the idea that Baptist's are quiet?

You better board those cats if Gib is coming, he might mistake them for BBQ meat.

Science is just on the edge of this, but they find for amputees that blocking some natural radiation is helpful in reducing pain.

They have been dealing with this for years (inside artificial limbs where they connect to the body) and now are testing for neuropathy and even just arthritic pain/back aches. I am exciting to see if valid.

It IS pricey (Canadian research company, so prices look a lot worse on the 'net than they are) but still $100 US. But even a LITTLE pain reduction with be worth it!

I have a lot of fun.

And I don't have any cats right now, so no worries there.

Afternoon everyone. The mother of the 2 year old I keep has asked me to keep him 3 days a week in the summer for 20 hours a week. It's more than double what I've been getting. Also, it LOOKS like the strike will end tonight. Another vote was taken today and the exit poll seems to be for accepting the raise, etc. That would mean I should have the other kids back right away. Spring Break begins this Friday.

Jim's company car has a messed up gas gauge so the company put it in the 'shop' today and one of the other fellas brought him home. He's gone with my car to tape the big concert tonight. He was a little worried because his asthma is quite bad today and he's been coughing. Doesn't want THAT on the CD!

It's cloudy but so nice out! Nick's down the street playing with the kids on the corner. They have to go in at 5:00 each day tho and that means he'll have no one to play with after that.

Well I need to iron tonight. Hope there's something decent on t.v.

Yippee! Good news about the kids and the strike being over soon.

As far as TV, you should do what my mom does and watch Jeopardy and let your kids stand around and say, "Mom! You should totally be on that show!"

Well the last child is gone and the every other week kids are next door today so Nick's still out playing. Sounds like a good time to vacuum this room before he comes in for the night.

It may end up being Jeopardy. Nick loves game shows!

At least he has next door kids to play with.
The last 10 years my parents' have gotten some more neighbors, and some of their kids are not the greatest influences . . .

My dad had to make a rule these two certain kids could only come on one day of the week. We didn't want to cut them off entirely, but they had to know they couldn't just come on over any time they saw fit (were even coming when we weren't home sometimes).
