    Good morning all,

It is in the thirties this morning. The snow on the sidewalks and streets has turned to mush, but the ground is still covered. It was a very wet, heavy snow. We had strong winds last night, so most of the snow blew off the trees.

Laura is picking Brent up around 9:00 to take him to Indiana, so I need to pack him enough clothes for three days (including church clothes) and grab his sleeping bag and a pillow.

Coffee is brewing and there is hot water for tea. I also left a whole mess of biscuits and gravy warming in the oven - help yourself.

    CYAL!

Just came in from a trip to Krispy Kreme. 6 dozen doughnuts on the counter... no charge.

Filled one are last 3 boxes on right. First box is cake doughnuts, and next two are glazed.

Oh yes, napkins are there on the table.

    Good morning.
It's another rainy day! We changed our cleaning day to Saturday instead of Friday, as everyone was always too tired after school.

So, the girls just started, and I'm about to. There's not a terrible amount to do, so I told them when they're done we'll attempt to go to Toys R Us so they can use their gift certificates from Christmas. But...we have to finish everything fast so we can come home in the afternoon, or we don't go. I hope they do, because driving feels good on my back...whether or not we actually find the place.

I'm so glad we all have Monday off of school! Yay! :D

    Have a wonderful day everyone.

    Good Morning Everyone!

It's beautiful and sunny here this morning, but COLD! It's not supposed to stay cold though. This pm the temps should be back in the 50's.

2 kids are feeling better! Son is still suffering but I can see improvement. No throw up yet this morning! I'm going to start disinfecting the house.

I'm also glad we have Monday off. Son has an entire week of homework to catch up on. I'm going to put Precious to work helping him. Dad can help him with the math. They are dividing decimils this week, so it's important that he really get the concept.

T's accident yesterday hasn't left any residual soreness, so that is a good thing.

All in all, I think we'll have a pretty good day. The only bad thing is, I forgot to call Dad last night to tell him we weren't going to basketball today. By the time I called him this morning he had already left the house. Of all the mornings he could chose to be on time! Most times he is late.

I'm going to get busy, see ya'll later!

    Howdy!
Well mabey BH is back to normal. She was in a fightin' mood this mornin!! My hands are tore up but it's good to see my baby frisky again.
I was gonna try & surprise Agee this mornin & cook breakfast but jerry came back from work so I took her out instead.
She's all excited about the business,(by the way the name will be HouseKing), can't wait to get started. I can't either, but more for Agee. I just want it to where she doesn't work herself to death, like she tries to do now. She'll go into work a lot of days when she ought to stay home. With this she'll know if it's both of us, or just me doing s job the money will still be coming in.
I told the Lord I don't want to be rich(in goods), just to be able to care for Agee. He seems to be honoring that.
Been helpin' around the house today, got our desks cleaned out. It's amazing how much "junk" can accumalate inside a rolltop. I guess cause it's hid from view a lot!!
Well gotta get ready to run her to work, Oh we got a Betty Crocker cookbook software so I made yuns' some Apple Cobbler, might have to warm it up though since I yaked so long!!!

Preacher, I meant to tell you to look for a wildlife rehabiiitation center in your area. They'll have a vet that can see BH if she gets sick.

Mmmm, so much good stuff in here, I might have to stay and eat! Forget housecleaning!

Speaking of junk, I had not one but two junk drawers in my kitchen that never seemed to have the one particular piece of junk I happened to be looking for. So's I cleaned them out now I have two clean empty drawers and no junk. The drawers won't stay empty long though. One is going to hold all the various kitchen knives we've collected and the other one will hold the dishtowels that are currently residing in a basket in my bedroom.

I did this almost two weeks ago and T still hasn't noticed. Must not have been his junk! :D

I sure do and I am GOOD at it too! [IMG]

My grandkids think it's so cool that their Gram plays Nintendo with them. [IMG]

I like All-Stars too, but I have about 30 games. I buy them off of eBay.

Brent has a Nintendo64, but I can't get the hang of the controls, so I'll just stick with my old one. ;)

I have 400+ Super Nintendo Games, all for the PC. Friend sent them to me for my b'day several years back. Also have 96 Nintendo 64 Games for the PC sent as a b'day present, have not gone through all the games yet (probably never will) but play on several. The graphics on pc are just as good as the console, IMO

Love the Donkey Kong games too!

Preacher, that's really exciting about the business, and great that you'll be able to work TOGETHER!
Now, scroll down this page to North Carolina and you're in luck because there's a number of wildlife outposts in your state. [IMG] Friends of our animal friends: Click Here!

We made it to Toys R Us AND back with barely a hitch. I had to stop and call for directions home, but they were simple to follow. The girls all chose things that were Barbie related. The oldest bought an Irish Barbie, it's very pretty! They all wanted ARBY'S! So they got that for lunch. The Red Lobster up the street was calling my name, but I gave it a fond wave so it wouldn't miss me TOO much. LOL

The middle one got sick on the way home, but she seems better now. I cleaned out the back of the car. She SAID she didn't throw up, but the carpets say otherwise. I'm gonna go scrub it out with deoderizer in a little, got the carpets in the washing machine already.

I've got a bunch of homework that has to be done online, so I'm sure I'll be on here again soon! Until then, I'm WONDER WASHER, able to scrub cars with a single ... well, washcloth or whatever. If I had a cape I could come up with better slogans ya know!

Hehehe. I can sympathize Gina. I'm Super Disinfector, today.

I surprised my sick bunch with Mario Party 7. Whoever came up with that series deserves his money. "Instantly stops whining and bickering" should be part of their marketing slogan. [IMG]

Sigh, back to disinfecting. Have I ever told ya'll how much I hate the scent of lysol?

    preacher,

if I am not mistaken, that Animal Shelter there in G'bo is down on Battleground Ave. Right close to the Science Center. Also close to the Sears building (is it still open?).

Anyway, plenty to do while there in G'bo. Oh, also on Battleground is a great place to eat. Tex and Shirley's Pancake House. You and Agee check it out.

I think they moved the shelter, but i'm learning that I'm mabey supposed to have a permit to keep her so I'll have to be careful where I tread till I find out for sure.
Actually G'boro is where I hope to get most of my work from, still have contacts from my bug-killin' days! I go there thru the summer(not as much last year) & get old A/C units to strip & recycle. Back in 04 I was picking up so many I didn't have to work a regular job.
The pancake house I'm not familiar with but we'll look for it when we start scouting out that way.
Well guess I'd better get back to "work". Tryin to come up with a letter of introduction/mission statement to give to potential customers, plus design & print some business cards. I would order some for free but I need this by Monday! I've spent part of the day installing software to help in these projects. I told Agee this has been a great anniversary, her having to work her job & me having to get this one set up. At least BH is in here trying to help, or sumpin'!!
I'll try to be back in later!

Oh Preacher, you haven't learned the fine art of saying things just right, have you? Here, practice these lines.

    1. I was driving down the road, and a deer ran into my car.

    2. I came back because my grandchild/son/daughter seems to have walked out of the store and I didn't realize this was in his/her hand.

    3. Officer, what a coincidence! I was just rushing down this road trying to find a squad car!

    4. Oh my, Doctor, when you said to lose weight, you didn't say me specifically! I guarantee you that my refrigerator has lost a number of pounds this week though.

    5. Hello friendly wildlife official. Thanks for the excellent job you do for all of our creaturely friends! I figured I'd call you because this squirrel seems to have adopted us, and I want to make sure it's obeying the law and doesn't need a permit to keep us.

See how easy it is when you simply rephrase it?

Gina, the trouble with those lines is that the authorities have heard them before. I think they train the police and the wildlife officials with just those very lines. [IMG]

Glad you had a great day with your children.

Preacher, you need to become buddies with your game warden!

Ed has been watering grass all day. Well, nearly all day. First the two sprinklers that we have would not work and he had to buy new ones.

Our yardman ( he is in college now) came by to cut the pampa grass. Muffin likes the yardman, but not the fact that he cut the grass, but I explained that the big dogs couldn't hide behind it anymore.

Need to study my SS lesson. My devotional and must for tomorrow are prepared.

    I'll check in later.

    Betty

The biggest issue toward getting a permit will be that BH can't survive in the wild.

Simply tell the officials you didn't know what else to do so you did this, this and this and she lived! I doubt it will be a big deal at all. Oh and using Gina's phrasology won't hurt!

Well, my room is nicely disinfected, made a big dent in all the extra laundry and the kitchen is clean and supper made. I've done enough for today. I'm going to surf for a while and then I'm going to get a book and enjoy my nice, clean comfy, sick child free bed! I'm going to control the remote too. I've watched enough cartoons and "Drake and Josh go Hollywood" to last me for a while.

    Evening all,

It has been very peaceful around the house today (no remote-control cars or darts). I have gotten a lot done on the computer that needed doing and I played Nintendo for a while, but I didn't get around to taking a nap.

I think it's time for my hot cocoa and shower, then my nice comfy bed and a book. Oh no! I'm starting to sound just like Cindi! [IMG]

I'm not much on regular chocolate (unless it's brownies with nuts and chocolate frosting), but I DO love 'white' chocolate. Shawna brought me over some 'white' hot cocoa last night. I had a cup, but it tasted more like caramel than white chocolate and it was waaaaaaay too sweet for me.

I'll just leave it here and y'all can try it.

    Pleasant dreams all!
