As I'm filling in for the worship coordinator this week since she's ill, I'm wondering how other churches do this. I had to put together the service schedule that shows what we're doing when, in what order, who's doing what, etc. I'm giving copies to all who are involved in the service from the pastors to the worship leader to even the ushers. Do you all do something similar in your churches??
This week, ours looks something like this (times are "suggestions" - not hard and fast rules, especially the message ending time - LOL):
9:00 and 11:00 Call to Worship - Lou and worship team
"Come People of the Risen King"
"My Savior, My God"
"Here I am to Worship/Call Upon the Name of the Lord"
"Jesus, Be the Center"
Call people forward for prayer and baptism
9:20 and 11:20 Prayer - Mike
9:25 & 11:25 Congregation be seated
keep students in for baptism - Mike
9:27 & 11:27 Baptism - Pete 9AM; Bob 11AM
after baptism, greet one another, dismiss students - Mike
9:37 & 11:40 Welcome and Announcements - Joe
9:42 & 11:45 Offering
Special Music - Steve
no offering consecration
9:46 & 11:49 Worship - "Mighty to Save" - Lou & Worship Team
9:53 & 11:55 Message - Pastor
10:30 & 12:30 Closing
Do you have a printed "schedule" for your church services??

We do a printed order for our traditional service but the more contemporary service is more free flowing.
Our folks are very good about allowing for changes according to how the Spirit leads us -
Tim - Does someone print that up for you? I remember in our old church the bulletin had the schedule of service but here we don't do that. Only the staff and those participating in the service get the schedule.

We print a bulletin every week with the worship service stuff, along with announcements, etc. for the AM service.
No bulletin for PM - everything's on the power point. (Portable - we have to set it up every Sunday evening. Can't wait until we pay off our renovation and put up a permanent video system!) -
We put a brief schedule of service in our bulletin. No times, just the basic order. Somtimes they get the songs in it, more so now that we are using a projector for the words.

Yes, we have a "play by play" order of worship similar to the ones above. Hymn or song lyrics are projected on a screen, so we don't have them in the OW. We have a local printer that we email the pdf to on Thursday afternoons, and he delivers them Friday midday. Volunteers stuff them into the bulletins Saturday morning.

I attend one church while I am at work. They have a generic printed "program" that is the same every Sunday, so I don't really know why they need to print it.
The church I attend when I am off does not have a printed agenda except for those who are leading the worship. -
All the churches that I am somehow involved with, whether or not they print the order of service for the "congregation", they do have a "bulletin" (not called that in one church.)
-
We don't have an order of service or worship - personally, I don't see why it's needed. Seems like a waste of paper and money.
We do have a bulletin with announcements and other information. Announcements are not made in church unless it's a really big thing coming up. -
The media team and leaders have one, but not one in the bulletin for general viewing.

I like this. -

I think it is a waste to print it for the congregation. I think it should be printed for those on the podium.

Haha, me too. Enough of that already! -

We print our order of service for Sunday morning in our bulletins. I always let our worship team know that if we have a testimony or something that's not printed it's to be no problem. I don't think it's as important for the congregation as the organist, pianist, worship leader, and preacher.
