Isn't it amazing how so many people are caught up in these phony "so called preachers? They are bleeding many people for everthing they have, and they still worship them. I't seems so clear to me what they are doing that the most elementry Christian should be able to see how phony they are. However; any body for a dose of Harold Camping?
With the love Jesus gave me.
With love of GOD the Father,
With love of GOD the Son,
With love of GOD the Holy Spirit,
All three make one.

My wife and I were attending First Baptist, Jacksonville's Pastor's Conference a while back---and were sitting in the hotel room waiting on our shuttle bus to take us from the hotel to the church for Sunday services.
Anyway, I had the tv on---tuned in to TBN and was hearin' the same ole thing that they've been "pushin'" for years! "Yada! Yada! Yada!" on and on! The same thing being preached for years!
I looked at my wife and said, "Lets go on down to the bus stop---and lets go hear some REAL preachin'----from Jerry Vines and David Jeremiah!!!!!!! -
Artimaeus.
Very funny

Is Creflo Dollar still on TBN? Any station/network that would allow his brand of paganism can't be all good...
-
Don't know if Creflo is on TBN, but some of the independent channels in my area carry his show every week. :( So even if TBN were to shut down, these false teachers will still have air time -- and an audience.

Irwin,
You had me rolling on the floor with the comment about the makeup. It seems like they are trying to be the Bakkers right down to the affairs and the makeup!!!!! -
I just witnessed something scary on TBN.
Paula White was jumping around, hollering about increase, urging people to call in. And seated behind her were a bunch of women in black dresses. It looked like they were dressed for a funeral.
If I was a non believer and was to see something like that, it would turn me SO off. It just seemed like I didn't feel Jesus in the preaching. It was all about give so you can have increase. Made me sick! -
Yeah, it's time for their semi-annual "Praise-A-Thon" a.k.a. "Send-Us-Your-Hard-Earned-Dollars-Or-We-Won't-Be-Able-To-Continue-To-Bring-You-This-Crud-A-Thon."
From what little I've seen as I pass by their channel, there isn't much praisin' going on, mostly appeals for money. How sad

Well, now that everyone has gossiped, we can all go to church this morning.
-
-
It's not gossip to discuss a public TV show or heretical teachings.
-
Marcia, yesterday before church I was flipping through channels and saw Jan crying, telling people if they give money that they will get HUGE crowns to wear in heaven. Just the whole way they don't really do anyting except beg for cash. I never heard them giving the gospel or using any scriptures except those that talk about giving.
I am sure they do go by getting the gospel out to those that might not hear any other way, but the way they go about funding it just seems slimy. -

What is a Oneness teacher?
-
-
The largest Oneness group is the UPC, the United Pentecostal Church (just to clarify, there are Pentecostals not part of this church who are trinitarians).
The Oneness followers today have variations on their beliefs, but it's usually called modalism: God the Father, God the Son, and God the HS are all the same person -- one person taking on different roles, or modes, at different points. The Oneness Jesus is not the Biblical Jesus. This was an old heresy called Sabellianism that was condemned back in the 3rd century.
Here's a link on it:
http://www.believersweb.org/view.cfm?ID=673
It might be good to read up on it as the Oneness leaders are trying ever harder to be accepted as part of historic Christianity and some Christians are not seeing the seriousness of this heresy. The lines seem to be blurring more and more between the two. -

Sorry but you folks are gossiping here. It is one thing to bring out wrong teachings and another to call names and make fun of others especially those that confess Jesus.
I do not like TBN for the most part and very seldom watch anything they have on. I do like James Kennedy and Mannafest and the International Intelligence Briefing with Hal Lindsey is my favorite show on tv, but for the most part, I do just like most of you should do. Pass it on by and accept what is good and reject that which is not and let God judge others.
No one is perfect and all Christians are subject to failure and sin, so instead of casting those stones my friends look for the beam in ur own eyes if u know what I mean. -
None of my posts have been making fun of anyone. I have been giving information. I agree we should not make fun of people.
The main topic here, however, is not about no one being perfect or judging others. This is about false teaching and exposing it. Christ warned over and over again against false teaching and you can find gobs of verses condemning false teachers in 2 Peter and Jude and other places.
We are to expose false teachings. TBN promotes and gives platform to false teachers. -

Yeah, I know. But when someone preaches a doctrine that is abhorrent to Christian doctrine — i.e. the martyrs would have had an easier time if just they'd had more faith or put more money into the collection plate — then I think we have a duty to stand against it.
God is not an ATM, and anyone who suggests such should be challenged. IMO.
