    Post #24:
"I speak of works that come NATURALLY from the heart circumcised BY GRACE ALONE with the law written upon it BY GRACE ALONE:"

The Bible references you give at #24, refer to after and not before conversion.

Yes, salvation/deliverance here, now. Not the immortal courts of glory.

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Gal 6

Not that it really matters, but where in the context do you derive that?

"Good works" are required of the saved after they are saved, and not something that they can "merit" towards their being saved.

No proof of conversion in the context, eh? That's what I thought, you make statements you can't back up with scripture.

4 And Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is acceptable to him. Acts 10

That was the state of Cornelius BEFORE conversion.

Look, what I said is that in none of the Scriptures that you have provided, show any evidence that "works" are required in order a person to be saved. Can you specify exactly what "works" a sinner is required to do, so that this may "merit" their salvation? And provide some Bible texts to back it up.

    Compare:
29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Ro 2

    With:
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Jn1

That was the state of Nathanael BEFORE conversion.

Ah, but you should have quoted from the start of the chapter, "At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God". He was clearly "seeking" the Lord, Who responded by sending Peter with the Message for his salvation!

because Cornelius' state before his conversion, was seeking the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer, which God answered by sending Peter with the Gospel for his salvation. The "deeds" that God noticed and accepted, was the fact that Cornelius was a God fearing, praying man!

at the opening verses of the chapter, when he was praying, as a God-fearing man.

IMO Cornelius was a "saved" individual and only needed the promise of the New Covenant filling of the Holy Spirit which came via the identity of the Old Covenant Messiah.
