Oldies
Understanding I turned from Rock at some point after salvation, I can at least share with you some of my favorites:
- 50s - Tom Dooley, Kingston Trio and Mac The Knife, Bobby Darin
- 60s - Nights in White Satin, Moody Blues and Sound of Silence, Simon & Garfunkle
- 70s - Can't Get it out of My Head, Electric Light Orchestra and Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, Hollies
Scott -
I also like the original version which most haven't heard.
Scarborough Fair and the 59th Street Bridge Song were both good.
I like the Tijuana Brass :)
The Brothers Four were great.
Classical Gas by Mason Williams
The Green Hornet Theme by Al Hirt.
Downtown. Petula Clark
Most of the stuff the carpenters did.
Love is Blue - Paul Mauriat
Leaving on a Jet Plane - Peter, Paul and Mary
El Paso City - Marty Robbins
Both sides Now - Judy Collins (and the Brothers Four did it too)
A Boy named Sue - Jonny Cash
Moonlight Seranade - Glen Miller
Rinestone Coyboy - Glen Campbell
King of the Road - Roger Miller
Danny's Song - Anne Murray
My Cup Runneth Over - Ed Ames
The Last Farewell - Roger Whittaker
Ok, ok, I guess that is enough for now.
Do I sound like I am old enough to remembe all of that? -

Anything and everything by the temptations... chuck berry ... Doors .... Simon and Garfunkel... a little later but Jim Croce

I love "Classical Gas".
My favorite by Peter, Paul and Mary is "Puff, the Magic Dragon". It was the first 45 rpm record I asked my parents to buy me. -
Oh, yeah, Jim Croce. My wife got me "I love you(in a song)"
Puff the Magic Dragon is good..I have that one. -
