Why not driving? Because the public makes the rules, through its elected representatives, for the use of public items. If the public decides to allow it, then so be it. I have only one vote, one voice on any issue.

Our church started a crisis pregnancy center that has helped hundreds of women save their children.

so either the church supports the mother and baby for 18 years or the state does, how about the good old fashion.... GET A JOB AND SUPPORT HERSELF. The bible does say if you don't work you don't eat, encouraging not sitting back and asking others to support you.

I would hope that in this case the family would help and she would not make a habit of having children in this manner.

A girl can be expelled for bringing an aspirin to school, and then stop by and get a pill on the way home to kill her unborn child. How ridiculous!

Whoa, tap the brakes there big guy. A parents' role is understood or at least it should be, but the gov. is now acting like the really bad friend you try to keep your kids from hanging out with. "Hey, do this, we can help fix it, they won't even know". When you start removing the controls that are in place it makes the position of "parent" a tad more difficult.

Big Brother is helping them try not to get pregnant and fixing it if they do. Thanks!!

    Where do you begin?

It only goes to show how many wish to expedite the removal of morality from society. That however should come as no surprise and is indefensible by those who voted for this man. I can only second what Lady Eagle and others have stated. I don't wish to dump on Ken H. but he seems to singularly want to dump on the parents while ignoring the main point. Which is the absolute immorality of abortion and the immorality as again perpetrated by the Obama Administration. It seems somebody challenged the Obama supporters and Ken H. jumped in with that. I could be off base but that is how it seemed.

Yes, teenagers will engage in behavior which they should refrain from until marriage. BTW, that would have applied to many on this board and though I was a very good teenager I cannot exclude myself from that statement.

The point is many teenagers will become pregnant and Obama and the Liberals have just made is easier for them and others to kill their unborn children. What Ken H. fails to note or understand is the efforts from Obama and Liberals in removing all parental consent or even parental knowledge of such.

    A) It is quite difficult to gain parental support when the abortion advocates are able to remove all stigmas of abortion and to equate it to a mere headache.
    B) Many Americans and thus parents have been highly outspoken on such issues. Ken H. and others seem to think parents or Churches are only reactive to such issues when in fact they are highly proactive on such issues. The "abortion transport bill" is one clear example in which parents supported by Republicans wanted to insure parental consent and notification; whereas Democrats have fought to block all such legislation. I do not mean to make this Rep. vs. Dem's. but is a fact. Again however, it is a false notion that parents are not highly involved with these issues.
    C) Many teens who may find themselves in this situation simply do not have the moral support from families. Ken H. apparently forgets this. Thus many will get advice from pathetic abortion advocates or "sex education" treachers.

Yes abortion is legal but that does not mean we should condone it! Bush had his faults and his Presidency was a great disappointment but he made many a great moral stand. He was consistent in that. You have seen numerous of those moral stands quickly dismantled by our new President with Democratic support and it will not end there.

I can only pray people wake up to this administration and attempt to reconcile with upcoming elections.

    Take care, in Christ:jesus:

Didn't they have a big hit record back around 1968?

Seriously though, not every young woman has parents who are supportive. In fact, some are abusive, especially in such a situation. In fact, some girls seek love they are not getting at home in the form of intimate behavior. No matter where one stands on this Plan B pill, the situation can be heartbreaking.

From what I have read, Plan B works like a last minute birth control pill, by preventing pregnancy with hormones, and is not an abortion pill. See below.

    Important Safety Information:

Plan B® isn't effective if you're already pregnant, and it won't terminate an existing pregnancy. Plan B® doesn't protect against HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Side effects may include nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, changes in your period, dizziness, and breast tenderness. If your period is more than a week late, you may be pregnant. If you have severe abdominal pain, you may have an ectopic pregnancy, and should get immediate medical help.

Plan B might prevent the egg from releasing from the follicle but it also will make the uterus inhospitable to the fertilized egg if the egg is indeed fertilized. It will not abort a pregnancy that is already implanted from my understanding.

So it still can be an abortion pill in some, but not all, cases.

Ummm, that was 2008 M.P.! I am with you on getting more sleep though, ha. BTW, I think you will see them slide down the charts quickly as the Dixie Chicks. Americans don't like musicians who pander to foreigners while demeaning their own nation!

I could not agree more and well stated. It is in part what I was responding to which is to say A) Parents/Citizens are indeed strongly involved with these issues, B) Not all children have supportive families or readily accessible support. Therefore, it is even more outrageous the government attempts to intervene in making abortion quick, easy and non-conscionable.

Well, that in fact is a matter of opinion as some posters have already noted. I must however apologize on that point as I thought they were refering to the actual abortion pill.

Irrespective, the immoral road this administration is headed toward in many regards should be of no surprise and should be of great concern for all Christians or any person of moral fiber.
