The way the abortion question is worded was a bit confusing, but I think I answered it the way I meant to.

Do people generally check out everyone who is in a movie to make sure they aren't homosexual before they see it?

For the smoking question, I said I'm under 45 and find it objectionable. But I would like to clarify that the objection is not based on any biblical or religous matter but purely from the view of public health and social responsibility (second hand smoke and the cost of smoking to the public health system).

Thanks. Glad to see so many participants so far.

I voted no opinion on those things I haven't read or seen, Harry Potter and End of the Spear.

The poll was a little too 'black and white' for my taste.
Example: Drinking, while I'm of the belief that drinking in moderation is an acceptable option, I do not think it is a good witness so I personally obstain.

I had to answer "No opinion" on #7. In the States I preach from the KJV, but in the Japanese language, we have nothing BUT modern versions in print. Well, there is the Classical Japanese Bible, but it is from the Nestle's Greek text--so is it a modern version??? :D

This was as very interesting poll because it touched on a variety of issues. Some of the questions left no middle road, so results are probably skewed there. For example, re. The Tip of the Spear and the homosexual activist who starred in it, there was no option that it still had great value to be used by God. I voted that I did not object because I want it to be seen. But I do object to Christian producers/directors using a homosexual activist in such a film. Yet I would go with nonChristians to see it without a 2nd thought. Jesus regularly ate with sinners and sought out their company.
I was in a similar quandrary regarding smoking. I do not find anything "evil" or "sinful" with smoking - just really stupid. Someone could argue that it is not treating their body as the temple of theLord, but tthe same is true for the majority of people re. eating. So I voted not objectionable. (My father had a real struggle with smoking, and eventually died from emphasema.)

Good poll. Very black and white though -- but I think that was the point.

I thought the homosexual question was hard to answer. I think it is an abomination, but its also no worse than any other "more respectable" sin.

Well, I'm not getting into the discussion pro or con, just wanted to make this point. -

Wow, I am again in the minority to many of these questions...
