Would appreciate your prayers this week as we have a camp for the Deaf in Rio Bravo, Mexico this week. Two groups from Georgia and Virginia are coming and we expect from 100-150 campers. Pray for safety and for the Lord to open the 'ears' of the Deaf so they may hear (and respond to) His word. And pray for me as I'll be preaching.
I'll try to get a report back to you when I get back. I have only a three-day turn-around before I head to Colombia, South America for another Deaf camp there. I will go from 100 degree weather to 50 degree weather- it's winter in Colombia right now!
Thanks!!
Headed to Mexico for ministry

I have prayed for everything you've asked this morning. My prayer is also that God will make the both of the deaf camps fruitful and that you all will see great things of God that you never would have believed possible and that His Name be exalted in it all.

Elevation, not the season, will be the temperature factor in Colombia. Equator splits the country. Expect the air to be thin that high.
May God bless your trip and your preaching. -
Certainly in my prayers.

May God do an incredible work through you. Praying for you and your great ministry of compassion.:praying:

Thank you every one for the prayers. A quick update:
The devil has certainly been busy- the week before camp a Mexican gang attacked a Christian youth camp near Mexico City. (Link- http://blog.christianitytoday.com/ctliveblog/archives/2012/07/mexican_gang_at.html)
Due to that situation, many of the parents would not allow their children or young people to come to our camp and many of the deaf adults were afraid to come. Instead of the 100-150 campers we expected, we had about 40- and around 80 people total (including the American groups). One deaf lady trusted Christ as her Savior and was baptized. Seed was also sown as I talked to some deaf men there who are not yet believers.
Wednesday morning I will be on the plane to Colombia.
Thank you again for the gift of your prayers! -
That you for the update....praying for you and your ministry.

Thanks for the tip on the elevation- I thought the southern hemisphere was in 'winter' while we were sweating it out. I hope the air isn't too thin because I am not very thin either- LOL! -
I forgot to mention that I was also honored this evening to be able to watch my oldest son baptize my oldest grandson via some amazing technology. Brought tears to my eyes to recall when I baptized my oldest son- and the next generation carries it on... Glory to His name!
