Homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin, but God loves a repentant sinner!
Tim...where in the Bible does it say that God only loves "repentant sinners?" I may not realize and benefit from God's love by remaining unrepentant ... but God loves even while I am a sinner ... in fact He sent Christ to die for us while we were yet sinners.

But, He only "gathers" the repentant ones. -
"that love thy neighbor thing, I meant it. God"
Now for the person driving by that hates his neighbor this sign could seem harsh because it brings their sin into the light. Strange thing is that nobody sinning by hating their neighbor has vandalized that sign, I feel it only goes to show that thanks in part to the mixed messages coming from some christians many homosexuals refuse to accept that their chosen lifestyle is contrary to God's word.

This is the ONLY sin (to my knowledge) that has it's own "civil rights"; sorta like aids.
There are no adulterers claiming that they have "just an alternate lifestyle"; no murderers seeking special acceptance of their crimes; no drunks claiming special legislation "because I was born this way" etc. etc. ad infinitum!!
The only reason queers are in the limelight is because THEY demand that everybody else accept them as moral equals.
Basically, if they would just shut up and refuse to "come out of the closet" when nobody's looking for them, they could do their thing and probably 99+% of the public would never know or care.
To put it simpler, we are not singling them out, they are singling themselves out; then complaining about all the negative publicity.
I have much pity for them because:
1 So many CHRISTIANS have bought into the lie that the bible doesn't say what it says, thereby creating a false "Godly acceptance" to the sinner
2 The popular acceptance of this "alternate lifestyle" has convinced many that they are just as normal as anybody else & see (don't want?) no need to get out of this lifestyle.
3 That too many CHRISTIANS are so loving, that they(Christians) will love them (queers) right into hell.
4 That so many could be salvaged IF it weren't so PC to be queer.
Edited to add:
Let the fires of PC rain down; I will take the word of God as written, sans revisionism! I will not be moved on this topic by PC re-interpretations!! MARANATHA -

Exactly. That is the problem. They want us to accept their evil lifestyle and lie to them and tell them it fine. We are not to condone nor partake of their evil deeds.
Oh, and why when people try to point out the abomination someone always comes and says yeah, but what about the other sins? Well the discussion isn't about other sins. Who would condone those either.
Adam and Eve did the same thing when confronted on their personal sin. Oh look at the serpent it was his fault when he told me your word was a lie. Oh, look at the woman you gave me, she told me to eat. Same ole same ole. Don't point out my sin look at so and so, aren't they as bad. Well God says you're all evil! Repent (turn from your sin) and be saved. -

exactly, sin is sin. However, Jesus loved the sinner while rejecting the sin... True tolerance is just that, love them and tell them, in love, that they are sinners. Christ died for all of us. We cannot allow them to beleive they can continue in the sin. We must help them to repent and grow in the Lord's grace.

Adulterers used to be prosecuted as criminals and be fired from their jobs on that basis - now that would be violating their civil rights. Murderers get off on self-defense and temporary insanity; they do seek to get off for mental retardation, post traumatic stress syndrom, etc. Ever hear of the "Twinkie Defense"?
Drunks used to get off homocide charges all the time because they were drunk and temporarily incapacitated - even now they rarely do time. Drunks have got genetic predisposition to alcoholism recognised as a medical condition with its attendent benefits. Large-scale employers have a difficult time firing employees for drunkeness if the employee is in treatment.
Open your eyes and look around; you'll see if you look.

Adulters may claim their civil rights would be violated but I don't think God is going to fall for that excuse when they face him. I just don't see him excusing it because our world system does. That is the difference. You are also misinformed on the "twinkie defense" http://www.snopes.com/legal/twinkie.htm
Where did you get the information that drunks used to get off all the time? If they did it is because the courts didn't take it seriously. It is a problem with the justice system. Still, God is not going to accept excuses. Drunks were and are charged with manslaughter not first degree murder. There is a big difference in sentencing for first degree vs. manslaughter. You know, premeditated, planned vs. got drunk and careless but not intending to kill someone.
Drunks have no more predisposition to drink than anyone has to another sin. Sin is in the nature of fallen man. Each person yields to his sin of choice. I was a drunk or as the medical profession says an "alcoholic". Christ delivered me completely. I am glad I didn't fall for the lie that I was predisposed, it would be an excuse to continue falling back and excusing it because well, I just can't help it, I am an alcoholic you know. Large-scale employers may have a difficult time firing people because they have bought into the lie that it just can't be helped. Once an alcoholic always an alcoholic. Now please don't tell me I must not have really been an alcoholic, if I said that to a doctor or therapist they would tell me I was "in denial'

Elnora,
Much of what you say is true.
However, I was replying to Just-wants-peace's claim "There are no adulterers claiming that they have "just an alternate lifestyle"; no murderers seeking special acceptance of their crimes; no drunks claiming special legislation "because I was born this way" etc. etc. ad infinitum!!" as though she were speaking of the world, not just as a Baptist. I'm still not sure how she meant it, but chances are that you have it right.
BTW, congratulations on your recovery and may God continue to give you the strength in against alcoholism. -
I'm assuming you refer to my comment about all of us having sins we have yet to repent from.
It's not quite that dimplistic. Salvation is twofold: Acceptance and repentance. First we must accept Christ as Savior, and as such accept the gift of salvation given to us via Christ. This is something we do once. Second is repentance. Repentance is not something we do only once. We, as sinners, continually sin. Hence, we must continually repent. At any given time, we all have sins that we have not yet repented of. To believe that we only have to repent once and be done with it is incorrect.
Hence, God does not only "gather" the repentant. God gathers all those who have accepted Christ as Savior, whether or not they have repented of all their sins. No one on this board, including myself, has completely repented of every single sin that has been committed.

Thank you Daisy,
You see I don't need congratulations, I didn't do any thing, not one! To be delivered means freed! I don't need continued strength. Christ won that battle for me. I am not even tempted. I can have one drink and not return. I have. Two reasons I don't. One He absolutely took the desire from me and second I would not because I would not want to cause someone else to stumble. If people could grasp that, thay can overcome any sin through Christ! -
