Are you a Jew who believes that Jesus of Nazareth of 2000 years ago who is recorded in the bible, of whom there are are over 60 prophesies in The books of the Old Testament is the Christ, the Son of God?
Yes,I am a Jew that believes that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, went to hell, and God rose him up the third day.And sits at the right hand of God.I believe Isaiah 53
jacob62, Seems to my you know the truth so let's get it on!
Jacob, I have been castigated from the beginning of my experience on this BBS and particularly this Forum.
There are those here who can so infuriate you with their blatant ignorance of truth that any response one gives could put you in jeopardy of being "suspended".
Just be careful.
I know nothing except the gospel.I came here to learn about Baptists.Ive been associated with pentecostals(which I am not)because I shared that I have prayed in tongues.Asking staight questions has upset some people.I have offended a person because I told him he could not read plainly(I apoligized).I have been told not to question a persons faith, which leads to questioning their salvation. If a man believes his salvation is secure by once saved always saved, why would they be upset by a poor fool like me.If doubt is raised in your heart by a simple question, how secure is that?Nevertheless I will be careful to abide by the rules. For myself,I want to be questioned always about my salvation,it can only correct and strengthen me.
No but I reckonize that strawman as one of belonging to calvinist. My bible tells me though that Christ died, for all...that He calls to all and that He would have all to be saved. Which contradicts a theology that says God died for a few, the rest can go to hell and, oh yeah just kidding about calling upon me. YOu don't have the ability.
;)

Anyway, how would you explain "election based on foreknowledge", if "He chose us because we first chose Him" doesn't do it? </font>[/QUOTE]How can we choose if we are not yet born? God chose to die before anyone was born. So who had first choice. No contradiction here.
