At the final public meeting of the House Jan. 6 committee, Rep. Liz Cheney, one of two Republicans on the committee, said the evidence shows law enforcement officers "saved lives and our democracy" that day, and that Donald Trump proved "he is unfit to hold any office."
Why not leave it up to the voters, LIZ!!!
I guess Cheney does not trust voters

Or did you like the way voters in Wyoming voted in the R primary??????

It was a “Star Chamber”, unworthy to be mentioned. She will quickly fade from public view and become a high paid lobbyist for the defense industry, while considering herself a martyr for attempting to keep Trump from re-election, even by deception because she doesn’t believe, like every other elite, the American people are smart enough to chose the right people.

Her statement sounds a bit melodramatic, but consider the gist it. Trump is unfit to carry out the duties of any Dem-RINO office, as their democracy is a Dem-RINO one, and definitely not the constitutional republic framed in COTUS.

In her mind (and also the minds of millions of others who have seen the evidence), Trump is unfit for office because of the 14th Amendment.

If you haven't reviewed the January 6th testimony and evidence, then you have little basis to make grand claims. You can certainly dismiss it all, out of hand, but that doesn't say great things about your interest in seeking truth. -
But is she afraid that Americans will vote Trump back in?
Let the Americans decide - both Republicans (in the primary) and the general public decide in Nov 2024
Same principal here in NY - the then Governer push thur a law that basically does away with most third parties.
Now, I disagree with many of those parties - but I say let the voters decide! -
She also pretended to refute Trump’s claim he offered national guard troops to Pelosi and the Mayor of DC for security prior to j6 by saying he never ordered troops to DC.
She knows he is prevented by law from sending national guard troops unless they are requested. She was being deliberately misleading. Can anyone say “misinformation”?
She also played portions of his j6 speech but deliberately left out him saying to “peacefully and patriotically protest. Can anyone say “biased”? “Misleading”?
I’m glad she’s gone.

There's a detailed report from the Committee (more than 800 pages) plus extensive transcripts of testimony available to the public. The transcripts have been released over the past two weeks on so as the redactions are completed. You can find them in the Media section of the January 6th Committee website. -

If there was evidence, as you claim, that Trump planned the riot, that info would have come out. Instead, we get bias, misinformation, false accusations from the Trump haters inside and outside DC.
Bottom line, Cheney lied to and misled the American people concerning j6. She has no credibility, and the voters held her accountable for her lies and deception.
The good news is her political career is over. The bad news is she will make millions as a lobbyist for the defense industry.

On the one hand, they were deathly afraid of Trump troops being deployed at the Capitol, because they could be used to effect an insurrection.
On the other, they are incensed that Trump troops were not deployed right away on J6, because they were needed to prevent an insurrection.
The Dem Progressive Left are liars and deceivers enabled and furthered by their massive corporate media propaganda voice.
They are rather obvious, but they are also very loud, and even some good people believe them. Its good to be good, but be better and quit believing their deception. -

Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
It amazes me that so many around here make claims about the Constitution, but don't seem to know much about it or how to find the relevant portion. -

That would take:
290 Congressmen
&
67 Senators
Will not happen -

There was nothing in 37’s post to suggest he doesn’t know what the 14th amendment states, and nothing in post #5 that makes a case against Trump.
