I keep seeing this girl and Kanye West all over the place talking about their relationship and the baby that's on the way.
Yet no one seems to be talking about the fact that she's committing adultery as she is STILL married to Kris Humphries of the Brooklyn Nets.
I keep seeing all of this stuff in the news about Lance Armstrong cheating and losing all of his endorsements.
Yet these two filthy disgusting people, carouse in broad daylight brandishing their adultery to the world as though it's a non-issue, while getting endorsement deals and magazine covers.
...as to how far into the miry pit this nation and world have sunk.
Like I've said, the road more traveled is like a freeway to hell. :tear:
In our world [as born-again believers], it is either God's way or the Highway!
Why do you expect the world to call these people adulterers? For pete's sake, Lance is allegedly going to ask Oprah to forgive him of his transgressions, rather than God.
Any self-respecting Christian hasn't even been giving these people a second thought, other than praying that they'll get right with God. But you bring it up as if it's something we should be paying attention to.
Maybe you just needed to rant for a minute about how the world is holding up these people as "worthy" of looking up to; but we all know that's the world's view, not ours.
Quit checking out magazine covers in the grocery store.
Until your post I had no idea about the marital status of this person. I'd heard her name and thats about it. Certainly didn't know the names those around her and their relationships with her. Heard the news Armstrong.
So what.
There's sin all around us. And, while we sometimes don't admit it, there's sin within us, too. There's far too much to do, for the glory of God, to spend time learning all the details of celebrity lives and pondering why this sinful world doesn't condem them.
We know why.
How does knowing all the gossip about this woman help me to better hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? How does learning all the sorry details of her life make me a better witness for our Saviour with the people I'll be meeting with this afternoon?
Come on Don....its the kids age that gets him wrapped up in this crud. Since your now working at a college you do know your going to see allot more of that.
I would imagine the same way pontificating on and on about the economy and politics would. does that help you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit too? Does going on and on about those details make you a better witness for Him?
I mean if you feel that way, then let's CONSISTENTLY feel that way.
