Just for good measure, here is the quote:

CDC continues to recommend at least 6 feet of distance:

      • Between adults in the school building and between adults and students.
      • In common areas, such as school lobbies and auditoriums.
      • When masks can’t be worn, such as when eating.
      • During activities when increased exhalation occurs, such as singing, shouting, band practice, sports, or exercise. These activities should be moved outdoors or to large, well-ventilated spaces whenever possible.
      • In community settings outside of the classroom.

Sort of. Six feet of distance between all adults when masks cannot be worn, such as when eating.

That's a lot different than you have made it out to be. It is only for a very limited time -- when eating.

No, you're just making things up again.

I'm still not a Democrat, no matter how much you want me to be. Moreover, I get my information from the CDC, scientists, my doctor, and epidemiologists. Health and science are not political issues. They are questions about what is true. Truth is not affected by political philosophies or affiliations.

No. The repetition of a lie doesn't make it true. Just because people you care about repeat these lies to you doesn't make them true.

    One does not "vote" science.

They are stating the science, as best we know it, as reliable. What they have been saying seems to align with reality. What you have been claiming doesn't. You can't even cite your own sources correctly. Clearly, you are in way over your head.

Yes, WHEN MASKS CAN'T BE WORN. That doesn't mean masks are ineffective. It actually points to the opposite conclusion.

No. Eating is just an example. It says 6 feet apart when masks not worn.

You keep parroting CDC recommendations. You nor they cite the scientific basis for their opinions. Where is the science? Opinions are not science.

You need to read it again, that was ONE bullet point, not the whole guidance.

No, it does not say ONLY when masks can't be worn.

Yes, what we really want to see are the double-blind studies proving the effectiveness of masks and social distancing. Anything less could not possibly meet the Fauci standard. :Wink

Exactly. Double blind required for Ivermectin, Hydroxychloriquine, etc.
    Double blind required for masks.
The hypocrisy of the CDC and FDA does not alarm the Democrats on here?

I'm coming to the conclusion that you all have decided that I'm a "lib" and this whole thing is just an exercise in "trying to own the libs."

I remember when basic intelligence and critical thinking was part of being a conservative. Now it seems to be all about holding to whatever narrative comes down from certain political leaders and pundits.

And I remember when being a good person was more important than being a partisan hack. Those days seem to be over.

I remember when being a disciple of Jesus meant that one was not going to fit in with the world systems, whether they be political parties or popular movements. That's still true, although many self-professed Christians demand obedience to the world or else one is somehow not a "true Christian."

The hypocrisy of our current situation is breathtaking. God will surely bring judgment on "evangelicals" for this sorry state of affairs.

    Goodbye.

No, I did not say you were a lib, nor is this about owning the libs. This is about actual science and reality. Unfortunately you have believed the lies. More unfortunately, you have belittled me for speaking truth.

It's on another thread but about the flu. I think it was more in a medical setting, though (like medical personnel wearing them to treat sick folks).

What this surgeon is saying is correct. Surgical and cloth masks do not protect the wearer from viruses and covid19. It is also true that they do not prevent the wearer from spreading covid19 in all cases as well. What they do is decrease the chances that the wearer will spread covid19 by limiting the size of the droplets and virus particles that escape from the wearers mouth as well as limiting the distance and directions those droplets with virus particles will travel.

When combined with social distancing and other measures like limiting crowded spaces it is a very effective and low cost way to reduce the spread of the pandemic.

It is absolutely true that it is not a fool proof protection. It is like having a multilayered security system. Any one element is unlikely to stop the security threat but when all of them are combined, they provide effective protection.

Wrong as usual. Do you just make up these ridiculous statements?
