OK Baptist of all denominations here is your chance to set up a church and give it a name.
It is the same doctrine but you have the honor of giving it a name:
Here's mine to give you a hint:
"Oh wretched man that I am, rescued from the jaws of hell, glory bound, old line baptist church of God... Brother Glen

Glen, I attend a Baptist church called "Circles of Faith".
Believe me, if I could think of a better name, I would. -
I was in an association with a church BYKOTA--be ye kind one to another.
Whatever. -
Think the way Baptists in Casper church hop (never building backbone, but really great leg muscles) I'll call mine "The Church of the Revolving Door"
Wait a minute. Think I will rename my church "First T". Think I can do a lot of networking and impress folks when I ask them to meet me at the first tee . . . -
I like Maranatha- "The lord cometh."
-
I go to "Faith" in real life. I like "Grace" Baptist, because we are saved and we should live by "Grace."
-
But if I were naming churches, how about:
1.) Get Over It Baptist Church
2.) It Ain't About You Baptist Church -
I'd name mine "Bible Believing Baptist Church" Where Jesus and His Word are KING!

LOL... my pastor would like those names
I go to First Baptist Church of Kenai
but really it should be
Baptist Clown Church...
because most of our members are regular comedians! LOL -
It is amazing how the only people who have "churches" are Christians. We don't have Jewish chuches, or Muslim churches. A Christian place of worship is a church. So why on earth would someone have to name there church "bible believing" to make that distinction...scary...
I really don't care what the buildings name is. I belong to the Church- the body of Chrisitans that only God knows all the members.
UNP, Adam -
I like "The Baptist Church at..." - Just add any location.

Adam,
I've been to some Baptist chruches that were downright scary! The name does not say it all! Kinda like, don't judge a book by it's cover. One I went to didn't even crack open a Bible during the service...I knew it was Baptist from the sign outside, but inside it was something else...so yeah, sometimes a distinction needs to be made, unfortunately

in my Lutheran church we never opened the Bible either- it was all printed onto our bulliteens :D  :D
UNP, Adam -
"Amazing Grace Baptist Church"
Because I am amazed that God would save someone like me.
Also because it would be among the first in the yellow pages!

Where I come from Boston, and my church is the biggest (and best!) fundemental, independent, souled-out, on fire for God, and yes we are called extremists (sp), Baptist. I would name it Continental(sp) Baptist Church.
BTW, if you are wondering the name of my church I already attend it is Anchor Baptist Church, Pastor Chris Pledger.

hello! i am becki, a friend of TJ. our church is Bible Baptist Church of York, PA.
i would never be able to think a better name for my church. the Holy Spirit is always there when my Preacher is preaching.
i also have a comment for"flyfree"
i am sure that you are a very nice person, but the names of churches are very significant. back in the day it may not have been important, but now-a-days if you do not know the church, you do not know what you are walking into! the last thing i would want is for someone to walk into a "worship service" and decide to be muslim. i know that the "Final Authority" as it were, is God's Word, but your church should be one that likewise acknowledges this important fact. i do not know what church you attend, but if you had a good church that you could not wait to go to, you would be so proud of your church, including the name.

i just wanted to say hello. i've heard so much about you! ;) -
It doesn't really matter what the church is named, if the people are not friendly to each other and willing to accept everyone, it's a waste of time. As all of you may know, "Christian's" can sometimes be the most heartless and unforgiving of the entire human race. But back to the question, we did name our church, Mission of Hope Baptist Church. People visiting were introduced the true giver of hope, Jesus Christ.

John--
I think I like your name the best!
