You're doing what a lot of people do; and on these boards we have them from time to time. Recently it has been a couple of 7th day adventists, to whom we can point out Romans 14:5-6 and Colossians 2:16 to show christians are not obligated to a sabbath day, so they have crates of scripture and commentary (apologetics course?) they think show those verses don't mean what they say, or it is only special bonus sabbaths; anything to make the verses fit what they've made their minds up on. But when I see that, I ignore it, and so I do yours. And you are both just arbitrary as to what is literal, metaphorical, or figurative, and both eisegetic.

Also now you are switching the story to "Correct their understanding" What WRONG understanding did they have?
What is the "HARD understanding"
give me any source that has your same understanding. -

I can understand why the pulpit is the highlight of your worship, because your "communion" means nothing because in the end it is nothing. Sad, how so very sad for those who claim to love Jesus. -
55“For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.
You'd have to be an idiot to conclude FAKE FOOD and FAKE DRINK.
You keep running away from this, Where does Jesus give any symbolism to his death in John 6.
If he was hinting he had to die Peter would have objected exactly like he does LATER. And scripture plainly says this is where Jesus reveals he will die.
This is when he reveals he will die NOT John 6.
Matthew 17
21From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. 22Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.” 23But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”
And even after declaring he must die.....no one leaves.
Its not a tall order i'm saying show us where in scripture he hints at his death in John 6. -
